About Camino

The home of Spanish tapas in London

Camino Description

Camino was inspired by a life-changing road trip in the summer of 1984, driving across Spain from north to south and back in blazing heat in a tiny old black mini. The landscape, the people and the lifestyle made a deep and everlasting impression, and left a burning need to recreate a piece of España back home in London.

Why have one when you can have them all? 🍴⁣ ⁣ Sea bass ceviche 🐟⁣ Duck breast 🦆⁣ Cheese platter 🧀

User

Cocktail hour is upon us 🍸⁣ ⁣ Never out of style, our No.1 Martini is made with London No.1 gin, Tío Pepe sherry and gordal olives 👌

User

Beat the heat with a cold one! 🍸⁣ ⁣ Featured: frozen Beefeater London Dry Gin, Jack Rudy tonic syrup and homemade botanical syrups infused with rosemary, Seville orange and pink peppercorn ☀️

User

Camino’s little sister, Bar Pepito, is the perfect sunny spot for a chilled glass of fino ☀️⁣ ⁣ Interesting fact: Bar Pepito was the first ever sherry bar to open in London!

User

It’s all about classics on Tapas Tuesdays 🍴⁣ ⁣ Featured: Padrón peppers and huevos rotos 👌

User

This colourful and refreshing salad is exactly what you need on a hot summer’s day ☀️⁣ ⁣ Our confit cod “esqueixada” is a traditional Catalan dish. Delicate flakes of salted cod, mixed with tomatoes, onion and olives. ⁣ ⁣ A clue to how it’s prepared: “esqueixada” comes from the Catalan verb “esqueixar”, to tear or shred 🍴

User

Sip sip hooray! It’s Friday! 🙌⁣ ⁣ Time for a Frozen G&T. An icy twist on our classic gin and tonics, made with Beefeater London Dry Gin, Jack Rudy tonic syrup and a homemade botanical syrup infused with Seville orange 🍊 ⁣

User

Frosé your way to the weekend! 🍓

To celebrate Mahou’s summer takeover of our King’s Cross courtyard, we’re throwing a party tonight! There’ll be live music, freshly carved jamón and ice-cold Mahou flowing from the taps! 🍻⁣ ⁣ It all kicks off today, 17:30pm at Camino King’s Cross 🙌 (link in bio for more info)

User

Our head chef Nacho is particularly excited about one of this month’s specials: Ibérico lamb breast with panadera potatoes and thyme juice🍴⁣ ⁣ He loves cooking with such a healthy high quality meat. Ibérico lamb is beautifully marbled, deliciously tender and high in oleic acid.

User

Mahou are taking over our King's Cross courtyard this summer and the launch party is on Thursday from 17:30pm 🙌⁣ ⁣ Come on down for some live music, jamón carving, and of course, plenty of beer! 🍻

User

Our special guest this month: Confit Cod “Esqueixada” 🐟⁣ ⁣ The cod is preserved in salt and then dried which keeps the nutrients intact and makes the fish super tasty! 🍴⁣ ⁣

We spent our night there yesterday night for our staff party, and we had amazing time.

Great food, friendly staff, warm place, great exeprience in overall. Definitely I am coming back. Special thanks to the manager of duty that she arranged a place for 20 people that fast.

User

Nice atmosphere but bar was too busy and was kept waiting to be served.

However, the superb DJ and the music made up for it!

User

Lovely tapas bar so handy to King’s Cross

Agree with other comment, they didn’t seem to know about THE Camino de Santiago, but no matter, the food and service was great. Very well presented and plenty of it.

The Spanish ‘fruity ‘ g&t wasn’t bad either 😉

Reasonably priced, loved the duck, the octopus 🐙 with beetroot, the green

Peppers, tomato bread- everything in fact! Had Galician almond tart for dessert and finished with a very nice coffee.

Would recommend a visit

User

Lovely spot close to train station. Very professional staff, fabulous mojitos 😁

User

Lovely food, lovely atmosphere & great staff. Our waiter was so helpful with the menu, suggestions on how many dishes to order, friendly & food came really quickly. Would definitely go again.

User

Lovely food and atmosphere & the best thing was that the manager, Mary, made my favourite coffee from my holiday in Tenerife - a Barraquito!

User

Just wonderful from start to finish. Delicious, inventive food; attentive and helpful service - thanks Judith! - and a great, welcoming atmosphere. I'm actually sad we don't have one up north!

User

Great food and great atmosphere as always!

User

Fantastic.

User

Fantastic, welcoming restaurant.

My boyfriend and I were very happy with the service and food we received when we visited. We arrived 30 minutes early and we were seated straight away without a fuss- lovely staff made the experience.

The food was to die for! The crispy squid was a personal favourite!

We hope to return the next time we visit the capital!

User

Camino Tapas Bar has a friendly environment and serves great Spanish tapas at great prices. Fresh ingredients and good drinks went down a treat. Along with fantastic staff (especially Lisa) who catered for our every need, this is one place we will be returning to. Thanks :)

User

Very pretty place, the food was lovely. Staff were friendly. All in all a wonderful place to eat

User

Really good restaurant, good food and good service. My only slight issue is some of the dishes are very heavy on salt- the coating on the squid and the croquettes are far too salty, but otherwise love this place.

User

Met a couple of friends for tapas and cocktails yesterday. Hadn't seen Camino before, but it won't be my last visit. Really good food. Great cocktails. Happy, friendly service and we weren't rushed at all, which is good when lunch lasts a fair few hours.

User

Great food and great service. The only disappointing dish was the Brussels sprouts. They had zero flavor. Otherwise, every dish we tried was fantastic. Close to St Pancras hotel.

User

I went here nostalgic about my time on The Camino and the waiter didn’t even know what it was, he even said people who start in France were crazy....

User

Food is always good - the lamb is amazing as is the tomato bread, the baby aubergine, the black pudding ......

Service - unfortunately not. I appreciate that on a Friday processes are slightly slower but the waitress shouldn't go off to settle up another tables bill half way through your drinks order, nor should they leave your table alone for 20/30 minutes when they can see your table is dry and you need more drinks. Further, when you have a party of six and you write your order down - to benefit your table- hand it to your waiter to make life easier, yet at the end of the meal you're still 5 dishes down (1 of which was the bread selection... seriously??) you wonder who is monitoring what and also had we not realised we would have been billed for it.

A free bottle of water (yes water, which we never even ordered) was given complimentary, as was a bottle of rosé, but on a bill of £200 a discount should have been given, and also not the insult of putting on a service charge. So disappointing, it's put me off ever going to Camino's again which is annoying as the food is so so good.

JUST AWFUL GO AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Awful place. We went for our office Xmas meal and drinks. We booked days and days prior and even gave them each individuals menu.

We arrived and was immediately taken to our seat which was great.

After 10 mins they came over and two or 3 of us adjusted our menu ever so slightly.

10mins later 2 dishes arrived out of 14. Yet they did not ask if we were ready for food and they hadn't even offered us any drinks yet....

All the way through we had to keep asking what was going on with the food as some people had food and some were left waiting.

When we complained and said this service is poor the waiter said I know and thanked me.

The food was awful and cold. The drink service was slow we had to keep getting up just to get any attention.

The food area was not busy and I counted 4 other groups having food with a total of 29 guests including our 14. There were 4/5 staff in the restaurant area so there is no excuse for this service.

I will definitely not be back and I doubt anyone else from our group will be.

User

I won't recommend this place. The portions of food are absolutely ridiculous. Camino should be ashamed of charging a money they obviously don't deserve.

I love Spanish food but this time I couldn't even tell about the quality.
