Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles to unveil new camper van at the 2018 Caravan Salon • New Crafter-class camper with high roof, sleeping area in the back and bathroom • Full-production model based on last year's California XXL concept vehicle
... The 2017 California XXL concept vehicle has been developed into a camper van ready for full production. The company will present the new Crafter-based camper for the first time at the 2018 Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf (24 August to 2 September).
The production version of the new camper van follows the clear, fresh design of the California XXL concept vehicle. The design also creates a link to the iconic T6-based California camper van and will likewise be available with single or two-tone paintwork.
Inside, the new model features bright colours and practical solutions. The bathroom (with shower and WC), kitchen units and sleeping area integrated in the back have been systematically thought through and tailored to life on the move.

We rented the Yellow California Beach 6 - 11th July and drove from London to Lands End and back. Comfortable, responsive and a pleasure to drive. Plenty of room - we were 5 adults. Lifelong VW fans/owners and only sad that “the beach” isn’t available in Oz

We hired the pearl white VW campervan for our wedding in Italy. Steve and all that work at Campervantastic are incredible in their knowledge and ability to make you very excited about a holiday! We had the most amazing time in the van, driving through Lake Annecy, Tuscany, Lake Como and back to the UK. We highly recommend campervantastic to hire your dream campervan. It'll be a trip you'll never forget in absolute luxury!

Simply cannot fault my experience of hiring from Campervantastic, they supplied an almost brand new, and well equipped Ocean, with everything you could possibly hope for included in the hire. Thrilled to recommend this company, and will be renting form them again without hesitation.

Returned our van on Monday after two and a bit weeks of windswept adventure in Devon and Cornwall. We really loved our van! The Campervantastic team have done a great job of including everything you need for a great holiday. Really well equipped kitchen with all the bits and bobs you need for alfresco living. We would recommend getting the tent, as that gave us a nice extension to our covered living/storage space and the DVD player was a godsend on the couple of really rainy days we had. Thanks Campervantastic!

Lovely people and very informative. Steve helped me take a look the T6 bike rack on the back of one of their VW California's for the potential of mounting my wheelchair on. Thanks!

I love it here but then I would! What's not to like, sending people off in our top of the range campervans for great holidays and touring ourselves all year round. That's how this all began, one big road trip and all that experience is now bundled up in the UK's leading VW California company and now backed by a team of highly skilled staff. Follow your dreams, and who knows where your adventure will take you?

I dropped in to your stand at Volksworld on Sunday afternoon and ordered the Khyam Motordome sleeper with the free lights and delivery and the groundsheet and carpet.



They arrived yesterday (Tuesday)! I'm stunned by how speedy that was and wanted to say thanks.



Really looking forward to getting out and using them!

Fantastic service, enthusiastic staff, awesome vehicles, ideally equipped.... we have just had a most wonderful long weekend away and are utterly in love with the VW Camper. THank you so much to Andrea in particular who explained everything so clearly and calmly. We cannot wait to book another trip.

Excellent service from these people. They have literally saved our long weekend of camping from being a total disaster. Usually this weekend is one of open BBQ's and fire pits but the very dry weather resulted in us having an e-mail saying these things were now banned from the site for obvious reasons. With their help I am now the proud owner of a Cobb Cooker. Ordered on 31 July and arrived 1 August. You can't get better than that.

Excellent service from these guys. Picked up the van for a weekend on Thursday. Ryan showed me around the van and how everything worked in great depth with some excellent tips too. Van drove like a dream and the 200+BHP 7 speed engine with double clutch made gear changes imperceptible. we were camped on a slope so the included levelling ramps were a godsend. Everything worked as it should and was in pristine condition. I particularly liked the wine cooler in the front dash! Cant fault the service and cant wait to hire another!

Big thanks to Steve for sorting us out with a gas bottle refill for the camper. They have the little 250 butanes now too people!!- very handy!!- and especially for opening up for us on a Saturday. Cheers

After their supplier didn’t deliver on time these guys went out of their way to make sure my bike rack got to me before we went on another adventure in the van. And it was easy to fit, just like they assured me it would be. Can’t recommend them highly enough.
