This one my favourite, places to eat or just sit enjoying a glass of wine. Food & service is outstanding, space is wonderfully designed & atmosphere is simply superb. If you haven't been, highly recommend, you won't be disappointed!

They kindly seated us half an hour before our booked table, which made getting to the theatre a bit more relaxed. Food was very flavoursome and well cooked, and served very promptly. Portuguese Tarts were delicious as you would hope! Love wine, good prices. We would come back definitely.

In terms of wines, it has a great variety and quality.

Had a cracking meal and service here. We opted for multiple sharing platters as we wanted to try so many of the dishes. We were not disappointed and the food came out nice and quick so we had no worries about making the Theatre!

Fantastic restaurant. I ordered octopus as a starter, it was fantastically well cooked and well seasoned. Then I had the Portuguese steak, similarly very well done, finishing with banana cake, to emphasize the caramel that was formidable.

In relation to the service, I was always served in a very cordial way,that was making me feel at home.

Before all this, I have to say that this house in general, fulfills the necessary requirements in relation to quality-price...

Authentic Portugese food. Love this place.

Nice warm welcome, staff very attentive. Chose a lovely banana cake which was delicious.

Nice atmosphere with cafe in between two streets which gave it a lovely design.

Only downside was the toilet was a little further down the street, not far, but you had to be escorted by staff to open it up. Fine in good weather, but....

All in all a lovely place and as Portuguese, made a nice change for us. Would recommend and would go there again.

Definately deserves a visit. Portuguese food for british once you dont have the portuguese portions. The alheira was delicious, chourico as pasteis de bacalhau as well. Both the dish of the day and carne de porco a alentejana were delicious. The wines are not the typical portuguese wines but we had the Canela wine that was very good. I recommend. All in all was a very positive experience.

Popped in here for lunch as we were passing. Main meals are very small, think tapas size but at full main meal prices. I had a nice Carne de Porco Alentejana but at £12.90 it was ridiculously expensive for 4 small cubes of pork, 3 or 4 clams and some potatoes.

Great food, friendly staff - but need to work on timing!

We ordered 2 drinks plus 2 glasses of tap water; and 3 food items.

2 drinks arrived within 5 minutes; 2 of the 3 food items arrived within 10.

The third food item arrived (after mentioning it) an hour later. And the glasses of water? Never!

Nevertheless - I'd recommend the custard tarts. But maybe to take away, if you're in a hurry.

Great food but service slow (maybe not enough staff) - I was literally watching people sat for ages waiting for over 15 mins to have their order taken just walk out and nobody seemed to even notice.

The positive: Very friendly staff (it was very empty so we got seated very quickly and the food came rapidly).

The negative: carne de porco à alentejana had 3 clams and 1 was closed. It’s a tapas size main. Flavour wise not great. Bifana em bolo caco was so full of mustard (and I like mustard) that I could not taste the meat (the cut of meat was the thinnest I’ve ever had) and it came with crisps straight out of a pack... disappointed I’m afraid....
