One of today’s lovelies was Bronx. He usually enjoys keeping me in my toes, but today he was ready to chill out and relax. What a good lad, all ready for a nice relaxing Christmas. He was a pleasure to treat. Plus he gave me an exciting looking Christmas present! Can’t wait to open it! Thanks Bronx you gorgeous boy ☺️

It’s always a pleasure to treat this lovely lady. Angie takes the opportunity to have a nice long snooze whilst her mum and I put the world to rights. Lovely Angie is 9 and a half and such a gorgeous happy girlie. She fell on her feet when she found her forever home and is very well loved ☺️ Her life now is now thankfully a very far cry from the intense breeding machine she was before she was rescued. I do love this girlie 😍

It was just so sad to hear that lovely Tess fell asleep and gained her angel wings this morning. Run free beautiful girl. It’s been a pleasure to know and treat you. You will be sadly missed 💔

Fantastic offer from the Canine Massage therapy centre! 20% off if you’re looking for pain relief clothing for dogs or humans!

Today was finished off with this young monster! Quincy is only 14 weeks and doesn’t need massage! What he needed was a lot of cuddles and squidging! What a gorgeous boy and a lovely way to end a really nice day. Lovely ☺️

User

Another of today’s dogs was Kyla, she is the most lovely GSD, so gentle and compliant and just drifted off to sleep. Until her baby brother decided to sit on her head, poor love! Kyla has regular massage to keep her in great shape for her favourite pastime of chasing bunnies! Kyla has a few trigger points in her longissimus, this is the long muscle that runs alongside the spine, she allowed me to work on these without fuss and is good to go for another month. Love this beautiful lady ☺️

Ooh Winny look at those white whiskers! Lovely to see this gorgeous lady today, lots of nice kisses and a few little plaintive whines! Winny had a total hip replacement a few years ago and massage helps to keep her comfortable. She also suffers from spondylosis so always has a few areas of overcompensation that need working on. Today Winny had an area on one of her shoulders with multiple trigger points, she’s such a good girl and allowed me to work on easing these off for her, then gave me a kiss afterwards. Winny has regular maintenance massage, so I’ll see her again next month ☺️

Saw this gorgeous lad today. Beau struggles with a wobbly back end, he’s an elderly lad, despite the youthful face! His dad knows it’s time for his massage as he starts to struggle whilst on their walks. Recharged again, Beau is good to go for another month. Look forward to seeing this boy again next month ☺️

Young Bronx here gave me the runaround during his recent session, hence the eye-roll here 🙄 however, I can always forgive this little face, especially when he spent his pocket money on a yummy mince pie for me! Thanks Bronx 😘

User

No favouritism here, but obviously I LOVE seeing my Newfoundland clients! Look at this squidgy face 😍 Angie has regular maintenance sessions and always sleeps throughout her massage. She often remains asleep and wakes up looking confused and wondering where everyone has gone! Angie is a beautiful rescue girl, she sadly has so many health issues due to her being intensely bred from a very young age. Her forever mum however gives her the best care and she is very well loved ☺️

Buttons this week lay beautifully for his session, he’s a regular and when I first started seeing him he would be up and down and wriggling all over the place. This session saw the 2 of us slowing roasting in front of the log burner! Lovely! It’s just wonderful to see what a difference massage can make to all dogs, but especially the older ones, like Buttons here. I think it’s safe to say we both enjoy our sessions ☺️

User

This squidgy face belongs to Oscar, he’s lost his bounce, which if you know Boxers, you’ll realise is a very sad thing indeed! Oscar took his mum to a show where he had a muscular health check and she initially contacted me regarding her other Boxer, in the meantime Oscar has managed to injure himself. Oscar has some undiagnosed muscular pain which has been treated by the vet, but without significant improvement unfortunately. Oscar has some discomfort around his tensor fascia latae, which ties up with the fact that the issue was caused by him running and crashing into the garden, so has likely slipped. This is a common injury I see in dogs who live on slippery flooring. Oscars mum has reported that she’s seen significant improvement after just one session. I’m glad to hear this & look forward to seeing him again ☺️

User

Charlie here has been enjoying his massage sessions, another 16 year old this week, just wonderful to see ☺️

User

This gorgeous face belongs to Scruffy, this young man is a very fit and healthy 16 years young! His maintenance session revealed some discomfort in his lumbar region, which in turn has led to a very tight neck and shoulders. Scruffy had a cruciate repair a while ago which was initially why I saw him. Lovely to see so many oldies at the moment ☺️

User

Another recent session was with Ace here, such a pretty boy! Ace is another agility star, competing to a very high standard with his mum. Jacqui trains agility and is very hot on picking up any irregularities in gait and noticed quite quickly that Ace was lacking his usual drive. After just one session Ace’s mum has reported that’s he’s in brilliant shape and has regained his spring in his back end. That’s exactly the kind of feedback I love to hear ☺️

User

I’ve recently seen Nancy Jelly Tot who’s posed beautifully for this photo! Nancy competed with her mum this year in the World Paragility Championships representing Great Britain and won! Nancy & mum, now have their own gold medal which is fantastic for them and a real testament to all the hard work they put in. Nancy lay beautifully for her session, occasionally glancing at me when I hit a sore bit. She periodically checked on me when I massaged her brother too, wanted to know when it was her turn! Massage is fantastic for sporting dogs as it helps to keep them in great condition, great to be able to maintain dogs in a fit and healthy condition.

User

I’ve been a bit quiet recently on the massage stories, so i thought I’d give you a little taster of some of the gorgeous pups I’ve seen recently ☺️

So happy.

One month later and such a difference!

Previously Buttons my black lab couldn't lift his head in standing position or barely walk.

He's not been on any painkillers for over 3 weeks now.

Mel has worked wonders on him.

User

My gorgeous boy Barney was always happy to see Mel and very relaxed whilst she was working on him. We have been very grateful for all she did for him and her kind caring and thoughtful manner. Many thanks Mel.

User

My dog Milo had an amazing and thorough massage today with the lovely Mel! she was very considerate, patient and caring and my two absolutely adored her! I highly recommend Mel as she is absolutely awesome!

User

My dog Bella fell down footings in my garden braking her leg and was badly burnt by the cement. Mel massaged her back to health after she had walked one sided for 5 months while in plaster was on. She loves her visits. Would strongly recommend.

User

My Cocker Spaniel Sonny loves Mel, she makes him feel at ease. He enjoys her regular massages and has made such an improvement my vet has suggested we continue on a regular basis. I would definitely recommend Canis Major as your first point of call for any musculoskeletal complaints from your dog.

User

Mel is helping my 15 year old with arthritis. He takes some persuading but Mel is very patient! His pain and stiffness seemed improved after one session and I'm hoping regular visits will help him a lot. Thanks Mel!

User

Mel has had one (long!) session with my Tibetan Spaniel, Daisy helping her with problems walking due to an misaligned knee-cap. Daisy can be quite stubborn but Mel demonstrated great patience and care. She'll need at least one more session but I can see improvements already and given that Daisy's 12.5 years old, I'm very happy to be going down this route rather than invasive surgery.

I highly recommend Mel.

User

Mel has been excellent sorting out the issues with our little dog who can now run much better without any limp. Her regular massage sessions have brought our doggy back to health in a remarkable way..thank you

User

Jessie is like a different dog after 3 sessions with Mel. We feel like we have the dog we had 3 years ago back she's so full of life and joy. Amazing. Wish Mel did humans too!!

User

I'm very picky when it comes to my dogs, but as Mel got recommended to me by someone I know, I trusted her ability. Mel has been a few times and has worked wonders (despite one of mine not being able to lie still for more than 5 seconds). I can't thank her enough for what she has done and my 2 love her! :)

User

I can’t thank you enough for all you have done for Kyla. Her regular massages make the world of difference to her life! At 11 years old (which is fairly old for a GSD) she is still living life to the full, playing ball & chasing squirrels. She still goes training & thoroughly enjoys it & comes to work with me & helps me walk other people’s dog! We no longer have any limping or dragging of her back feet & we can give her lovely back scratches without the shuddering ...I would recommend canine massage to anyone with an older dog as I can see everyday what a difference it makes. We’re so glad we found you Mel xxx

User

Huge thank you to Mel who massaged my bonkers young Collie today , very patient and took a lot of time with her

User

Excellent met Mel at an agility show following a recommendation from a friend - Izzy had her first treatment today and was very relaxed and clearly enjoyed it - thank you - think she will look forward to her next session.

User
