Where do I start?? Approached the site and thought wow how beautiful are you! Greeted by staff at the door.. super enthusiastic and smiley, I felt so valued from the first second. My friend and I opted for the brunch; we loved every moment, the decor inside to the food and drinks and of course A* service. This place is going to do so so well. Already thinking of hosting my work christmas party here. There is nothing not to love. Huge shout out to our amazing hostess with the mostest Miss Hannah Miles, who even after finishing her shift, came over to check on us. She made the best suggestions and had great knowledge of the menu. Also worth thanking B who managed to get us a portion of the highly coveted doughnuts. I could go on for longer, but you get the gist. Come try it and love it just like we doo �

This place is fantastic, love it, really cool atmosphere, great food, brilliant choice of drinks, has a real buzz about the place! We will be back very soon!!!!!!

This is my new favourite Brixton haunt. Busy from day to night, it is a beautiful restaurant/bar serving delicious breakfasts, lunches and dinners. At night, it transforms into a chic cocktail bar with staff who clearly love what they do. Set in the most beautiful light-filled space and former department store, it combines urban cool with a nod to the Art Deco era through the addition of stylish lamps. If you haven't been yet, check it out!

The waiting staff went out of their way to accommodate us and could not have been better.

Food was amazing, big flavour and big portions. Great selection of drinks to.

The place was packed - on a Tuesday! - and as a result very noisy and with the music also turned up was difficult to talk. But I would go back as it was a good night but might try a bit earlier when it is not so busy.

Stumbled across this gem of a place last night, just for a quick drink before the Rag & Bone Man concert. Very impressed shame we had already eaten as the food looked good. Will be back.

My lovely friend Begona (and baby Sophie) took me to Canova Hall for brunch on 18th Jan 2018, as an early birthday treat. We had discovered Canova Hall by chance (walking by, we spotted the beautiful building). We were absolutely delighted with the food, service, facilities, surroundings, vibe & people there. We'll definitely be back some time soon! Thank you everyone at Canova Hall yesterday for making it such a fab visit :)

I went in for a coffee with my two year old daughter and I loved everything about it ! The hot chocolate was perfect, my little one loved her baby chino and the staff are absolutely lovely. The ambience is absolutely to die for and the music is fab too. Will definitely be a regular here !

Excellent service great good will be going back for the bottomless brunch soon. Rather annoying that people are hot desking at busy dining times as there was a table of four taken up by one person 😤 Think it would be a better shout to put them their laptop and the one coffee that they slowly sip over a 2 hour period in a designated area of the restaurant.

Definitely go here to have a lovely cocktail (or meal) in a beautiful environment. If he’s around make sure your cocktail will be made by Augustus. As soon as he figured out how we knew each other he made matching supertasty cocktails with that! And on request he even sings a tune while making the cocktails. As a Dutchie in London I felt super welcome in this bar! Don’t miss it on your visit to London - Brixton!

Beautiful venue, lovely light space, makes a fab workspace, I’m loving spending my work days here. Quick WiFi and lovely staff. Great experience so far.

Absolutely fabulously designed and decorated with great quirky details. Walked in and wanted to start taking lots of pictures and revamp my own flat. Great service from fab staff and lush pizza's for us all 4. We loved our night last night good work!

A real lovely, lively atmosphere. It was busy so we sat at the bar and ordered some food. The triple decker bacon sandwich was absolutely delicious with fried eggs, mushrooms and their signature tomato sauce (can’t remember the name) Highly recommended.

Ok, as a Brixton local I like to support new businesses in the area, and being a foodie at heart I expect certain standards. I had a 9pm booking, waited 10mins to be seated, order taken we did not receive our drinks until 9:40pm. Our meals arrived 5mins late ... but only half our order. When we checked with the staff ... they advised that the rest of our order did come out but not delivered to us!! So whoever received our zucchini fries and padron peppers, I hope they were good?? But apart from this mishap the rest of the meal was good, and definitely agree the fried aubergine is amazing!! The venue is great and tunes were right up my street ... it is taking Brixton to another level and I think I like it. My husband is service focused so is giving you 2 stars, but I will give you an extra star for the vibe and extra staff probably would have been handy!

The house fried chicken was tasteless and unseasoned with an overwhelming mustard sauce and the zucchini fries were sadly flabby and too thickly cut. Get it right and it could become our favourite Brixton place.

Very pricey and food or drinks are not worth the money. All appearance and poor quality. I did not like the £14 Pizza at all ( salami on top did not taste good, overloaded with raw onions) and £12 cocktail was average. The girl that brought us the pizza and took the order was nice , rest of the staff was not particulary attentive.

The worst service and pizza ever! Service was so slow. We arrived and waited 40mins for the menu. Nice cocktails. Food came, Pizza order arrived wrong, then when the right one came it was soaked in oil and the base was rock hard. Inedible. We sent it back. We watched the waiters and waitresses walk around the restaurant not serving anyone, trying to get their attention. When we complained to the waiter he listened and then offered us a free shot of limoncello. No offer of a new dish, money off or a chat with the manager. Awful! We asked for the bill more than 5 times and then had to wait another 30 mins before it eventually came, with the hideous pizzas on and service charge! Unbelievable. At this point we lost our temper and asked for the manager who removed the offending items and service but still charged us for the rest of the food and took my email to send me vouchers. I wouldn’t go back for all the vouchers in the land! AVOID!!

It's a nice looking place alright. Now to the downside. Service felt stressed and inattentive. Dirty prosecco glasses, no sugar with coffee (That only came after about 20 minutes), wine out of condition (sangiovese, sharp sourness to it), pasta undercooked. For the price range it's all around pretty awful.

Really tried to like this place, as I like the concept, but it’s failed to impress me. TL;DR: space is beautiful to look at, but doesn’t fit the concept. Too uncomfortable, very unfriendly, and food is poorly executed.



Been here twice, once for brunch and the second time to get some work done. Things done poorly:

❌for a co-working space, the spaces available to work are uncomfortable. Hard chairs, no back support. Due to the hard surfaces everywhere, it is also very noisy.

❌service is at best inattentive, at worst rude. Order was forgotten, had to flag someone down afte 10 mins to even get any attention.

❌food is insta worthy, but not really tasty. Bubble and Squeak came cold on the inside.



Things done well:
