The hellebores in our gardens are blooming - we're especially delighted with the Charmer and its rosewood coloured flowers. Striking looks and poisonous properties have earned the hellebore a place in folklore as an ingredient used by witches, but gardeners can use them too!
You can learn about the impact of perennials and other plants on an ecosystem with our garden design courses, which give you the skills you need to plan and manage green spaces:

He may not have the accolades of his namesake, but Attenborough the tortoise has the charm! Cared for by staff and students of our Mottingham Campus, he spends his days hunting for his favourite snack - strawberries!

It's the Year of the Rat, and we'd like to thank our amazing team at Crystal Palace Park Farm for celebrating Chinese New Year with their local community! The farm even had a visit from Rhoda the Rat, who took part in the festival activities with the children.
