#carbonmotive Nice one Seat 👍🏼 Repairs carried out at a maindealer using the wrong seals causing an oil leak on the oil return line from the turbo.
Now all sorted out with genuine and correct seals and leak free 👌🏽

First job of the week is to do the job Seat should of done properly in the first place.
During the recall for an egr replacement (which was caused by the recall for the emissions update) Seat tech’s decided not to fit the seal for the turbo oil return correctly so now I’m tidying the mess up and fitting new seals 👌🏽
Edit: two pictures of the seals. The banjo bolt has two seals, I pulled three out... one was correct and in the correct place but missing a large section, one wa...s correct but broken up in bits and not fitted to the bolt but where it should be the one in the top left was - not the correct seal and causing the leak.
So well done Seat, you fitted the wrong size seal causing a leak, over tightened it so it got shredded up and didn’t remove the broken original seal from the turbo return pipe. Good job 👍🏼🙄

500 miles after the Resto and today was oil change day.
Jenny still can’t stop smiling when she’s driving Juicy the bug, which is good to see!
Oil change and a quick check over to make sure things are as I left them, no bad news some fresh oil and off she goes again for another 500 miles then back for a final tune up 👍🏼

Petes Ibiza had sat for two years untouched until it came to us for a few repairs. The list included a new slave cylinder, Sachs performance clutch disc, engine service, smoke test to check for a suspected boost leak, cv boot, brake check, clean up and fluid flush then filled with Motul 600, short shift kit, full Vibra-Technics engine mount set and an mot.
Now it’s back on the road and putting a smile on his face again 👌🏽
