I first joined DBT in 2012 and after the intial classroom lessons I was unable to keep up with projects + a full time job so I gave up.
... 2 yrs ago, my contract ended just after Brexit and I have not had a job since then.
I came back on the platform Aug 2017 and decided that I am not leaving until I get my success story. I would like to thank Sandra for breaking down the very confusing process to me in 5 min....I was sooo lost.
My first project was Digital Talents and I really got my hands dirty. Thank you Godwin for being such a great lead BA....you answered all my questions patiently. Thank you to Lola, Linda,Adedayo Adesanya, Adedayo Anjorin, Chuks, Terhile......I learnt so much from you guys including pidgin 😂😂. Thank you to Bankole, Lizzie, Tofunmi, SBA George and the rest of the team on Search Marketing Analytics - I learnt so much there, got my hands proper dirty on the eWork 4.0 experience and made some good friends too.

All the glory be to God, thank you DBT/ Career insight, this platform works. I just secured a QA/ Software Tester role with a Software Solutions Company. I joined DBT in March 2018, I called the admin office and spoke to Keji, he introduced himself as the owner of the business and so I used the opportunity to ask questions about work experience and he mentioned that if I am prepared to work hard and get my hands dirty that I could land a job between 3 to 6 month. Fast forward... I joined 3 projects initially, Digital Landlord, Digital Talents and Digital Academy but quickly decided to focus on CIP Digital Talents due to my availability and the clashes of project meetings. I gained all the relevant experience working on tasks and deliverables on the project because they needed people to complete tasks on the project at that time. I would like to specially thank the Adedayo - Lead BA, Linda - Digital BA, Eva - Test Analyst and all members of the Mang team for their help and support throughout this journey. When I was given tasks I would stay up to read up and watch videos on basecamp sometimes till 2:30am and still have to go out the next morning but it paid off. I also took on board the feedbacks I got from Shola, Abi and Micheal during our presentations to the QA Dept at the road show meetings; thanks guys. I started to apply for jobs about a month ago after the successful completion of the eworkexperience 4.0 projects. Recently, I was invited to a face to face interview after a successful phone interview. During the interview I was asked lots of questions and I completed a presentation were I shared my knowledge of Test Cases, Test Plans and others. Also my knowledge of HCI / UX was tested. At the end they were so impressed and offered me the job that day and decided to me more than want I asked for.

George W. McLaurin (September 16, 1894–September 4, 1968) was the first African-American to attend the University of Oklahoma. George held a master's degree from the University of Kansas and was a retired professor living in Oklahoma City. Before retirement, he taught at a predominantly black college, Langston University. He applied and was accepted into the University of Oklahoma in 1948 due to the supreme court trial of McLaurin v. Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Ed. Mcl...aurin vs Oklahoma which enabled African Americans to be admitted to graduate education at the University of Oklahoma on a segregated basis. In the case, Mclaurin was supported by Thurgood Marshall, Amos T. Hall, Roscoe Dunjee, and five other African American students. The University was required by law to allow McLaurin into the school, but he was entirely segregated from the other students. Later when other African-American students were admitted into the school, they went through similar conditions such as different classrooms, libraries, cafeterias, and restrooms.

I have been rehearsing my Success Story since I started applying to companies but now, I don’t know what to say. Seeking a career change i recently joined career insights and visited the new hub in lagos. The digihub is really an exciting place to learn and staff are very helpful despite the multitude of questions they answer. The hub and its features available make it conducive to learning. Also delivery of lectures and the valuable ework experience are unique features which i havent seen been offered anywhere else put it at the top. I wish I had known about it sooner. My DBT/CI story is like one born in due season, i say that cos i came across this amazing platform when i really needed it the most, though sometimes i wish i came across it earlier. I thought about a career change for long and i didn't know what to do until I stumbled on the CI page on instagram. since joining, I must say I don't regret (no sugar coating).
