Amazing vibe and amazing staff. Travelled from Leeds to see a friend and decided on a spontaneous night out, best place to go for beautiful cocktails and a dance. Would totally recommend even, if like me, you’re on a budget.

The music was amazing, we were having so much fun until we were cheated at the bar! **Check how much they charge you before paying** despite the menu saying one price of drinks until 10pm, the bartender charged us more. She also added money to have a minimum card charge without consulting us. When we asked she rudely said "we can wait until the manager comes"



So basically they indirectly rob you at cargo and should be reported.

I had fun last night but the club itself is not great. 20 pounds minimum for card payments? really? its 21st century, nobodys carrying cash anymore. The venue itself is good, music and light system is fine. Outside/smoking area is great!

Haha the drink prices...I know we are all paying it but you're properly having our pants down. You guys have not put enough effort into your faux-retro hole to warrant this mortgage-requiring bollocks. Maybe pay your PCP car finance with another avenue?? Cheers chaps.

£20 each at the door, £25 if your paying by card. Going into the club is like going through airport security. You then have to spend a minimum of £20 on card at the bar and there’s no ATM available inside. One bouncer grabbed me across the shoulders but wasn’t wearing any sort of uniform, naturally my boyfriend tried to push him off to which the bouncer then corner him against a wall and was yelling don’t touch me over and over again right in his face (hire some security that can diffuse situations rather than make them worse)

Would give this zero stars if I could. Don’t waste your time or money at this dump.

VERY OVERPRICED (for the experience you get) - what stood out most were the dickhead bouncers that obviously have no respect for themselves or other people. My friend went out to make sure my other friend got in her taxi safely and then when she returned to go back in they refused to let her in. While she was talking to them they wouldn't even look her in the eye and told her to 'F off ' repeatedly without listening to her AT ALL. She didn't have any of her stuff on her and when she was finally let in they told her to 'Just shut the F up or we'll punch you in the face'. I understand the bouncers are there to protect the club from drunk, rough people, but this was my 18 year old innocent friend in tears without any belongings. Very bad experience.

Too expensive for what you got. Management were shoddy and rude and the general hygiene of the place was off, not like they couldn't afford a cleaner after I had to remortgage my house for the second round of drinks!

The door staff must have some kind of power trip going on because they’re extremely rude & refused entry to my friend for no apparent reason. Upon questioning this, we were told my friend was too drunk and needed to sober up which wasn’t the case at all. But we went away and came back because we had heard good things about Cargo but were told “she’s just not getting in”. I believe this was blatant discrimination of my dark skinned friend and would never return to such an establishment.

If you want to be embarrassed, discriminated against and ripped off (£20 entry fee?! lol) then go here!

Started off fab. Best friends birthday, Great name for the bank holiday weekend, fair enough price to buy on earlybird.

Then we went in.

For one thing if you wondered why it is called cargo. It’s because the place is what I imagine a shipping container is like. You feel like actual cargo.

Then the drinks oh. Let me tell you. The drinks. Not only do they all taste slightly off. But the prices. £40+ for a round. That knocked me out faster than 5 jäger bombs.

And finally. The one thing that confirmed I would never go again. The security. Me and my friends were happily dancing away having a fun time. When suddenly I felt security tap me on the shoulder. So I turned around. And he just lent into me and said ‘you’re a little fucking slag’ the rest of the conversation was back and forth defensive of me going what the fuck did you say and he carried on “you’re a slag” “you’re a fucking slag” “you’re a fat slag” anything he said to me was with the word slag in it. And finally as I started getting upset he told me “if you don’t stop being such a slag you will be kicked out” at this point I cried. I’d literally stood there, danced with my friends and had a drink. They took me outside and calmed me down as I had a panic attack (I have very bad anxiety).

So nah. Wouldn’t recommend going here unless you wanna pay your entire life savings on drinks, listen to the same few songs, feel like a sardine and get called names by the people who are supposed to look out for you.

I went out last night (Saturday) with my friend to cargo because I’ve heard a lot about it but nothing too negative.



However we entered and paid 15£ for entry... 15!!! An absolute joke, we went inside and were then told we had to spend minimum 20£ on card for drinks. Only two of us so we ended up buying four beers on my card to beat the minimum. Which then became warm after we finished the first one.



We saw another room and went to go in, only to be told that we weren’t allowed because jackets/ coats weren’t allowed.... we had denim jackets on... like not parkas not a massive coat.

Literally the dumbest rule. We paid £15 to get in and weren’t even allowed in all the rooms!!



Fuck this place, I would honestly never come back here, shame because the music was great!

I was out in cargo last night for my birthday and didn't intend on drinking too much because of an early morning ... I had 3 woo woos and got alcohol poisoning from the cheap or fake vodka after spending £175 for 8 ladies of which 3 of us are sick is absolutely unacceptable. I would never recommend this place as their drinks are not as premium as they are priced ���

I was double charged for drinks and Cargo ignored my request to rectify the mistake. It's been over a month since I have raised the request. I have provided all details and proof of double charge, apparently it's sitting in the manager's inbox but after speaking to over 3 different staff on the phone and sending a private message on facebook, in an attempt to sorting it out privately, nothing has been done and still NOT done. I can understand it was perhaps a simple and honest mistake, but how the matter is handled afterward i.e. silence and lack of action to rectify the situation is appalling. I would strongly suggest anyone going here double check their bank accounts after or better yet, don't go at all.

I normally have a great time at Cargo even though it is on the more expensive side when you consider the overpriced and watered down drinks. However, last night my experience was not quite so. Having paid for the entry in advance and being in the queue by 11 we were then told by incredibly rude and pushy door staff that the ticket queue was 'now closed' and we would have to move to the on the door queue which cost me and my other friends another £20 each. We tried explaining that we got to the doorman at 23:01 because the group before us was disruptive and having an argument which delayed us but with no luck. The door staff have zero customer service skills. At the cloakroom you are also told that it is cash only (which is fair enough), however they have no cash machines inside and upon speaking to security if I could use the cash machine accross the street I was told with a cheeky smile that yes of course I could if I was willing to pay ANOTHER £20 for re-entry. This lead to us having to leave our coats in a pre-booked table area someone had booked which then resulted in all my friends finding their coats when we decided to leave but me - mine had been taken by security as if it was an unattended item which essentially had me begging the staff for my own belongings. As a frequent customer I expect some sort of compensation for being treated as an ATM by the staff but frankly I think they have enough people at their doors every night to scam money out of to not even care. Absolutely appaling.

Honestly, one of the worst places I’ve ever been to. Music was good, but the staff, oh man. The bartenders was SO rude and arrogant. I asked the lady for 4 ciders, and she gave me 4 cider looking beers. As I was suspicious, I asked her several times, are you sure this is cider? And what taste is it. She goes, it’s the only cider we have, and I don’t know what it tastes like...

It’s super overpriced, considering the venue is literally a big garage, that is dirty and disgusting. Never going again!

I simply want you to know what he's getting into this club over a month ago.

We went to this establishment with 4 friends.



We had to pay to leave our jacket in the vestiraire.

When we wanted to leave, they no longer find the jacket that matched my ticket. A branded vest that disappeared in the locker room that I paid to keep it.



Then the manager of the establishment told me that if he will not find my jacket he will pay me back. Currently he gives me no news, do not answer the mail.



They have all the evidence (CCTV) ticket purchase of the jacket ...



They have no respect for their client. today I regret not having called the police.



Sorry for this message, but I wanted to share how I was treated in this establishment.

Everything about the place was awful, terrible music, stupidly expensive drinks, rude bouncers and management. You'd have to sell a kidney to be able to afford drinks in there, they haven't even tried with the decor of the place, I was just waiting for trolls and witches to pop out of this disgusting, dingy place.

Birthday celebrations.

Absolutely shocking of a night club..

Bouncers seemed fine.

Music was wack.



£15.00 entrance each

£15.00 for double vodka and coke in a 250ml cup... never ever have i seen or been to a club that charges that amount!



We left after 30 minutes!



Do not go here if you want a good night out as you won’t get your money’s worth.

Been to Cargo a few times but went last night for Wanderlust and forgot how extortionate drink prices are. Guy on cloakroom was so ignorant and the club had the cheek to charge £3 per item!!



Club was maxed out, over capacity because the club was too greedy to think about fire regulations and people’s safety. If you’re going to take people’s money, learn some customer service skills and manage events correctly. Absolutely awful time and will never be returning.

Awful! me and my friends got ripped off £33 to get into the club, our tickets were refused and we had to pay extra on the door, on top of that drinks were £20 each, customer service was absolutely awful - staff had absolutely no respect for their customers. Will not be going back and that seems the case for many other people.
