History

Castle Park Arts Centre is set amongst beautiful floral gardens, parkland and woodland walks in the historic market town of Frodsham.

The Victorian building with its unique clock tower was originally the stable block for the adjacent mansion house. In 1986 these outbuildings were converted into the arts centre providing exhibition and workshop spaces, a cafe and craft units.

The traditional origins of the building are reflected in the magnificent wrought iron gates which were commissioned for the entrance to the art centre.

Visitors to Castle Park Arts Centre can experience a lively programme of exhibitions, arts activities and enjoy the wonderful Victorian buildings and grounds.

Castle Park Arts Centre is run as a charitable trust and is managed and manned by volunteers.

Sponsored by The Biffa Award is a multi-million pound environment fund managed by the Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts (RSWT) which utilises landfill tax credits donated by Biffa Waste Services.
and
Cheshire West and Chester Rural Support Funding Grant Award.

PLEASE NOTE OUR ADDRESS CONTAINS FOUNTAIN LANE AS PART OF IT BECAUSE THE POST CODE ON ITS OWN TAKES VISITORS (via Sat Nav) TO HOWEY LANE WHERE THERE IS NO VEHICLE ACCESS

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ COMING SOON ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ NEW EXHIBITION AT THE ARTS CENTRE, 9th Jan – 17th Feb ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~Meet the Artists Fri 11th Jan 7-9pm ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ‘Landscapes and Light’ – Sue Hancell What bewitches me? Definitely light! The fabulous trickery that light plays on our wonderful British landscape. Dawn, dusk and the fleeting shadows that create lattices of shapes around us, often take my breath away. ... Most of my inspiration comes through my love of walking, then striving to draw and make paintings in response to the awesome beauty of the countryside I walk in.
