Our team has been very excited by the arrival of our new Customer Relationship Management system, Beacon, this week. We have invested in modern systems which will enable us to manage repairs, rent payments and all service enquiries smoothly, with less need for our residents and clients to repeat information or to have to contact us to find out about progress. Over the past two days our teams have been collaborating together through training and familiarisation ahead of our phone lines reopening tomorrow. As you can see the teams are enthusiastic about this advancement in our systems!

Yesterday, Citizens Advice launched their 'Help to Claim' Universal Credit Service. The Service provides individually tailored advice and support for those looking to claim, or currently claiming, Universal Credit. It is available over the phone, face-to-face or online (via webchat). Citizens Advice will also offer home visits where necessary.

Today we said goodbye to Chunyang Hu - our Senior Management Accountant. Chun joined the team in 2009 and will be missed for her fierce intellect, sense of humour and the incredible kindness and generosity she has shown to everyone at CDS. Here she is on her final day pictured with Management Accountant, Francine He, who will be taking on some of her work - and Chief Executive, Linda Wallace. Good luck, Chun - come back and visit!

We are have had a great day at our Universal Credit Awareness Day at Phoenix Place Community Hub. Our Welfare Benefit Adviser, Maureen Bello, was on hand to answer all our tenants' questions and worries about the introduction of Universal Credit. If you have any concerns about any changes to your benefits then feel free to contact our team! They are on hand to help!

Congratulations to Viv and Clifford of our Customer Service team on their fantastic fundraising campaign! They have raised an incredible £1000 for the DEC Tsunami Appeal.
This money will help devastated communities rebuild their homes and livelihoods following the as rainy season approaches.
