We’ve been going to centreparcs longleat at least once a year for about 20 years. Normally we go out of season, but we went during half term this time. Have to say it was worth paying more to go in the summer. Still did lots of activities. New off road explorers for 2 years + very good. But we’re able to spend a day ‘on the beach’ at the lake which was lovely and have BBQ in the evening. Sat outside in pancake house and views was like being in the alps! This is the first year we have not hired bikes. I thought getting the train would be a pain, but it was fine. It was running on a 20 minute timetable rather than every 15 minutes but we were never waiting long and there was always room. Great holiday. Back for winter wonderland in 5 months time!

User

We had a great weekend at Whinfell, the lakeside lodge we were in was spotless and a perfect location. Food and service at both The Pancake House and Lakeside Inn were superb. We went to Aqua Sana twice, both times very good, and all the activities we did were well organised and great fun, especially the target archery. We’ll be back!!

User

Spent last weekend with family in the new 6 bed lodge in cedar area of Sherwood Forest.

Amazing time had by all.

All the kids had a great time and the staff in all areas of the park were excellent.

Special mention to the staff at the indoor climbing and outdoor tree climbing . All excellent

Would recommend to all!

User

Just left Center Parcs Whinfell after our first visit...such an amazing experience! Every single team member we encountered was happy and friendly and always willing to help (including the online FB team who answered my questions). We ate at several restaurants and the food was delicious. The swimming pool was awesome, just a bit sad that the canyon ride was closed when we went! The activities we tried out were fab and well organised. We are already looking at our next trip, thank you Center Parcs

Just had the best 4 days at CP, amazing family time, beautiful weather, it is now one of our most favourite places ever! Cannot fault Elveden, its got everything and the added bonus of 40 mins from home! The lady cleaning our villa on departure said how short staffed they get on good weather days which is why some villas aren't ready. Can't blame CP for that! Absoutely think its a wonderful wonderful place. Well done CP!

I absolutely loved my weekend away at Elvedon Forest. It was my first centre parcs trip and I was slightly apprehensive especially having some additional needs and being a wheelchair user but I cannot fault it one bit. The adapted lodge was beautiful, everywhere was accessible and staff were absolutely amazing. I had booked a couple of activities but due to lack of pictures online I only realised I couldn’t physically do them when we got there and saw them in person but the team were fully understanding and gave me a full refund which took me by surprise. The pool was amazing! The slides and rapids were so so fun, they’re was a changing bed in the disabled changing room which was nice to see as most places don’t offer that. I was very nervous especially as it was all new and I have autism but my nerves very quickly disappeared, I slept so well which is very unusual and we saw a mum and baby deer right on our patio! The whole weekend was absolutely amazing, I am definitely coming back next year, hopefully for a little longer though! The only thing slightly disappointing is after climbing all the stairs for the cyclone twice which was very difficult with the particular disabilities I have was that on both the Saturday and Sunday the photo missed us but got everyone else. But it was still very good fun! My legs are killing but it was completely worth it! Overall I would recommend it to anyone and everyone, it’s a lovely, calming environment and definitely worth every penny (which I don’t believe was very much for what you get, can you put a price on happiness?)

Having read some of the reviews before our trip to Elveden last week I was a little worried about what to expect! This was our first CP holiday however we couldn’t have had a better 4 days away with our two year old daughter.

Our lodge was still being cleaned when we arrived just after three which made it a bit of a rush to get to our 5pm Bella Italia booking but even though we arrived late they were fine with this and our waiter was great, quick service and yummy food and cocktails!

Yes, it’s pricey but I think this is a well known fact about CP and it’s only as expensive as you want to make it. We had breakfast and lunch at our lodge, ate out for dinner twice and bought BBQ bits from the parc market for our last night, dinner sitting in the sunshine with the ducks!

There weren’t masses of activities for our two year old but she did enjoy the swim pups, balance bike and meeting Bramble Bear at the teddy bears picnic and course the swimming and trips to the park. For anyone else traveling with a toddler, step ups for the bathroom and bed guards are provided free of charge!

We all look forward to returning again!

Had a wonderful weekend at Elveden for our little boys 3rd birthday. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. Many thanks to the pony ride lady who expertly put my little boy at ease on Tilly the pony! He had a smile on his face the whole way round!

The staff at Hucks made a big fuss of the birthday boy.

Now we just have to break the news to a very happy and excited little boy that we have to go home in the morning. There will be tears, and not just just from the 3 year old!

As we approach our final day at Centre Parcs Longleat, I find myself reflecting on our time here. The one thing that has made it a truly memorable experience for us (a family of four), is the fantastic staff who work here, at every level. They are so keyed into ensuring that the customer is enjoying their experience and one can see that they love their role. Indeed I know they do, as I asked one or two in conversation. Centre Parcs also invest heavily in their facilities, no doubt at a huge financial cost. Our two boys have made great long lasting memories this week. They will certainly be sad to leave tomorrow, but we will be visiting again. Bravo CP Longleat!

User

Just returned after a week at Sherwood (Normally visit Elevden). Although Sherwood was good I think the facilities at Elevden are better.

Biggest surprise at Sherwood was the lack of care from the life guards in clearly allowing non swimmers and children clearly below the minimum height being allowed on the rapids! One time a life guard had to jump in after a very small non-swimmer got stuck and another time myself and my son had to get involved as poor little girl was stuck and screaming after her dad when down and left her. My son had to take her off me and lift her over the side to the arms of a waiting life guard! At Elevden their are life guards positioned at the start of the rapids and also the middle section and will ALWAYS whistle and ask for children to get out or stop them going down however At Sherwood their is no life guard positioned at the mid point and the one at the start never stopped anyone going down.

Maybe Sherwood need to take some lessons from Elevden before it’s too late and someone gets hurts or worse!

Will give all the staff and security at the Sports Cafe for the 2 nights of England game both nights were done very well and a fun night had by all.

I had my first visit to here last week and we will be coming back. What a great holiday and here in the uk as well. The staff where the best I have seen out side of the USA for costumer services and the subtropical pool is something very special.

The accommodation was great, the only think that stoped a full star rating was that we had an issue lighting the oven in the villa but apart from that a great holiday.

User

Very little effort for customer service. Allocated villa in front of open water with 2 toddlers, and told I couldn’t move when flagged this as a problem. In the villa was an offer for 5% discount for repeat booking. Was told this never existed on return. Great pool and good villa but this rubbish service is not what you expect for the price. Come on Center Parcs - a little customer service wouldn’t be too difficult, would it?

User

1st trip to Woburn, 15th trip to CP. Woburn is ok, swimming area very small but staff all very friendly. My biggest disappointment was the villa. Decided to book a executive lodge as it was hubbies birthday so paid 1600 pounds for 3 nights, a lot of money! Upstairs 3 lovely en suite bedrooms, tick.Downstairs a very dark extremely hot kitchen area, a lounge area with 7 seats even tho villa slept 8, why? Seating area outside very small and I did feel and hear neighbours which is the 1st time in CP.

My biggest complaint has to go to the kitchen equipment, it was either rotten or inadequate! Kettle was disgusting, frying pan rank and equipment that would cater for 4 not 8. I thought I was in an Executive lodge?? Did I ask or complain? I shouldn’t have to, CP should be proactive rather than reactive. Housekeeping are clearly not doing their job

User

Just back from a stay at Woburn & didn’t like it. We’ve been to Sherwood a few times & also Longleat, but Woburn was disappointing. It felt very cramped & not at all secluded - we were very aware of our neighbours. The pool was very small & Cabana a total waste of money. We were 4 minutes late for Tots Go Wild & when we arrived at the Rangers Lodge it was locked & no one was there - we eventually gave up & left along with two other families who were also slightly late. The Children’s disco could have been better. Prices (as expected) were very high.

All round we were massively disappointed & feel ripped off.

We had an absolute nightmare week at Woburn Center Parcs and even after many conversations and complaints we have been offered nothing in comparison to the hassle we received. We arrived at the lodge to one room having dirty female underwear on the floor, another room having dirty socks on the floor. There was a poo left in the toilet and nearly all of the kitchen items were filthy. Also the duvets in the 2 double bedrooms were disgustingly dirty. When we told guest services of these issues we were assured the lodge would be re-cleaned (we weren't sure it was cleaned in the first place) however, all that happened was someone came in and cleaned the floors?! We were told not to unpack to ensure that they could clean properly, this took three days!! We were halfway through our holiday at this point! We were told wrong locations for activities which meant we completely missed one of them (we were unable to use bikes due to disabilities so we could only walk). Activities didn't half measure up to the way they were described. Children were expecting volcanos in crazy science but received a scabby old beaker. Nets weren't up at the tennis courts that we had booked and staff were not in any hurry to put them up despite time slots only being 45 minutes and there were people after us. There was an issue with an abandoned suitcase in the swimming pool that we were laughed at for reporting because apparently 'terror doesn't happen at Center Parcs' their words! We didn't think it would happen during a family trip to Paris but it did, we were there in the middle of it so apologies if we seem a little sensitive to it! We received a couple of 'a little something' bears for the kids and a small bottle of Prosecco, perfect for a non drinking family! Even since being home we have not had any sorry, just a 'we will make sure this doesn't happen again' which of course is perfect for a family that will never be returning!! First trip to Center Parcs, paid more than we would have for a holiday abroad and really wish we hadn't!

My mother in law booked a cabin for 6 adults and 3 dogs back in February to Centre Parks, after not receiving a confirmation email, she called to find out if this could be sent. Upon this phone call it was mentioned that the dogs were not included in this booking. After speaking to a member of staff it was apparent that she wasn't entitled to a refund and she couldn't book another cabin due to their being no availability and there wasn't an option to book the dogs on to the booking on at all.

When booking it states that the cabins are dog friendly, this is extremely misleading, and the member of staff who was 'assisting' was no help in the slightest as the cabin is around £800 for 3 nights, which the family had been scrimping and saving for. As a first time customer of centre parks, i find this level of customer service appalling and is unacceptable to not be offered an alternative else where considering the point of the trip was to spend time as a family with the dogs.

This trip would not have been booked had it not been for the misleading information given on the website. As a family we are now left without a suitable cabin and £800 down with no suitable alternative. I strongly feel the need to express our experience with as many people as possible so they do not fall into the same trap, leaving families disappointed and exploited.

I’ve visited Center Parcs numerous times and LOVE it but this was my first visit to Aqua Sana in the luxury spa suites since becoming vegan. The understanding of, and catering for, vegans was awful. Long list of fails - including being given non-vegan drinks and having a treatment with non-vegan products. Only positive was the cafe manager, Evie, who went out of her way to cater for us. I’d love to return to Aqua Sana but, until I can be sure they’ve caught up with other leading companies in terms of veganism, I will be unable to. Was told by the spa manager that the comments would be passed onto head office but as yet have had no apology or contact from head office. Come on Center Parcs, get your act together!

I have been compelled to write this review in response to the complete lack of empathy customer services have shown towards me and my family and to send out a warning to others who may experience the same misfortune.

Myself and my family stayed at the Whinfell Forrest Park in a lodge in July 2017 for a week. In all we had a lovely time apart from a few minor mishaps regarding the kitchen not being cleaned before our arrival and then an incident where police had to be called due to neighbours behaviour and culminating inthem fighting. However this did not detract from our stay in all.

Whilst we were away my father who was at home took ill, so we had to return home, cutting a long story short, he had to have a life saving operation, and naturally we were all focused on his recovery.

After approximately four weeks we realised we had left two coats hanging in the wardrobe of the lodge, and immediately contacted the customer services by telephone. We were told to send an email, which we did to explain who we were and the address of the lodge we had stayed in. We were surprised that no one had contacted us to let us know our belongings were there as after all they had all of our contact details, including telephone numbers, email, and home address.

We were told that our coats which were very expensive designer labels had been “thrown away” after being kept longer than the normal length of time. I asked their procedure when finding lost belongings and was told I wasn’t allowed to be told this.

I told them they would have easily have been able to trace us as we had given all of our contact details when we booked the lodge for the week, and asked if they had the details of where they had disposed of them and when, again I was told this was not our business.

Of course I can only speculate what has actually happened to our expensive coats, which we saved our money for and worked hard to obtain. This was not a pair of socks or a hairbrush left but very valuable items. I think if the staff we have spoken to had shown any kind of empathy we would have felt at least we were being heard, but to be so rude is absolutely appalling and dare I say maybe dishonest.

No one ever leaves anything on purpose; it was an accident, and a situation anyone could subsequently find themselves in. However we feel aggrieved and violated and would not return to somewhere that we cannot guarantee the safety of our belongings!

User

Hi, seeing as I am unable to write direct to your page, I thought I would leave a review. We have been to Sherwood for the past 3 years, as a family of 10. Last year we had to have 2 lodges due to the amount of us. When we got back we booked straight away, 2 lodges again. Then the new lodge was built and luckily for us you changed our booking for this year so that we could all be together. My father in law paid £1280 for the 6 bed lodge and we had a fabulous weekend, all being able to be together. He has called today to book the 6 bed lodge again for next year and has been told the price is £2700 for the same weekend as we had this year. To see that the price has more than doubled is very disappointing, how can you comprehend a price increase like this?! Such a shame, such a disappointment! We love center parcs! But not for that price
