Visited last night and absolutely loved it! Food was amazing... took us quite a while to decide on what to order and we weren't disappointed the food was delicious. Can't wait to return

Visited for a late lunch.

Bobby was nothing but a great host.

The food was outstanding.

We had chilli paneer, puri & masala dosa.

The food was full of flavour & definitely hit the spot.

In the back ground Bollywood music was playing, the place was clean & very welcoming.

Highly recommend even if it's to go & see Bobbys shoes.

Visited Chai station for the first time today in the hopes of enjoy some delicious India street food and wasn't at all disappointed. We tried a few chaat items and also some dosa- all of which tasted excellent!!!

The food here is sensational, you don’t have to be vegan (although I am) or veggie to appreciate it! Great customer service too, if you don’t know what to order from the extensive menu, just go with whatever they recommend, you won’t be disappointed. And all for the price of a takeaway (which they do too!). My favourite dish so far is the Bhindi Dal with Puri bread. Can’t wait to go back!

User

Sensational, welcoming, and such delicious food. Bobby was so passionate about his food and a brilliant host. I’m vegan and my husband isn’t but we both really loved our meals. We just ordered lots of starters instead of a main meal. It was spectacular and not just because of Bobby’s shoes lol!!! Will definitely be back!

User

Ordered a takeaway this evening for my boyfriend who is veggie and myself who is Vegan. Such a warm welcome when I came to collect the food. It smelt so good we ate some in the car on the way home and it tasted as good as it smelt. Will definitely be returning

User

OK I'm not veggie, but visited your restaurant with the hen party group last night. The service was excellent and friendly and the food was very tasty. For veggies and vegans, I would definitely recommend this place and for the meat eaters, give it a try as you will be pleasantly surprised at how tasty food without meat can be!

My wife and I visited Chai Station yesterday for the second time and we were immediately welcomed by the wonderful owner Bobby. Absolutely the best Indian meal I have had in Chester (or pretty much anywhere else). Had the Kashmiri Alu Dum, which was beautiful, as was the Paneer Chilli. The green chutney with the popadoms is sublime. There is no alcohol licence but free corkage BYOB policy is great plus there is a really nice range of healthy juiced drinks and lassis. Can't wait to go back soon.

My first visit to this utterly delightful restaurant for my friend's birthday. My father was born and bred in India, and cooked at home when I was a young child, but he died many years ago. This evening was a taste of heaven I had long ago 'forgotten'. Many thanks to ALL the staff at the Chai Station for being such wonderful hosts, the amazing food (memories!) and such attentive service. Second to none! :-) x

User

Love, love loved it, food was perfect, staff friendly, Bobby is full of fun and makes the best cuppa ever, thanks Bobby , would highly recommend for vegetarians and non vegetarians alike, most definitely worth a try and we'll definitely be going back xxx

I'm from Bradford and used to a decent curry. You don't find them in Chester, or at least didn't until now! Great vegan curries! Don't feel dirty after eating one, would definitely recommend!

User

Excellent! Fantastic vegan dishes, I went on a cauliflower rampage with the pakora and the cauli and corn Manchurian, with Green Pea rice. Mamma Mouse’s cake for pudding. Beautiful flavours, lovely staff, we’ll be back very soon!

User

Excellent service, very welcoming and friendly staff. Really genuine feel. Food was superb. Excellent range of juices. Will definitely be coming again. Worth going a bit out of your way for this. Also has BYO alcohol option.

User

Compact restaurant (good to book). It was lovely that they could squeeze me and my daughter in for a lovely vegan meal.

Gujurati specials include nice lentil doughnuts and pancakes.

BYO alcohol means the prices are keen, The owner keeps his costs low and is at front of house to welcome you - that means you get personal service and attention - it also means a meal for 2 at £28 is pretty good value.

Food really good - not greasy like so often in Indian cuisine. compliments to the chef.

Delighted to support such a great vegan offering in the city with over half the dishes vegan and the others offering paneer.

Brilliant little place. It’s about time there was a veggie restaurant in Chester. No fuss just really good food. Lots of vegan options too. Went for my dad’s birthday who is a meat eater and he didn’t miss the meat. The food was delicious , the service relaxed and friendly (the staff even helped soothe my crying baby and held her for a while so I could eat!! If that’s not good service I don’t know what is!) we will definitely be coming back to work our way through the menu.

User

Amazing little restaurant. The best curry I think I’ve ever had. It’s got a great selection of vegetarian curries including vegan options. We tried the Barfi for pudding and they were so lovely.

The waitress was really nice and the owner came and said hello and asked us about our evening which was a really nice touch.

We will recommend to all our friends and will be back!!

User

Amazing authentic Indian food. Clearly a popular place, packed out but the owner still managed to come say hello! Very warm and friendly atmosphere. Food was first class. Will be back!

Is good to see vegan/beg restaurant in Chester and I was excited to try this one out.

We were seated and given menus and a pint of tap water which I thought was a nice touch. 20 minutes later Bobby came over to introduce himself, he was very welcoming and sweet. At this point we were ready to order but he walked away without asking. 10 minutes later I managed to flag a waitress down to ask if she could take our order.

We had or starters and they were really tasty but unfortunately had to make an unexpected leave before our mains came out, so we asked if they could put it in a take away for us.

They did, but when we got home, items that we had paid for were missing which wasn't great....

I had a Masala Dosa for main, on the menu is said it comes with peas etc. All it had in it with chunky mashed potato with a little seasoning.

The restaurant was full, which is great, bit then it lacked service at the table (as not one person came over to us about orders or drinks) and then the food was incomplete, not what was on the menu.

What we did have though was really tasty.

We were really excited when we heard about this new vegetarian restaurant.. however, on visiting this evening, we were thoroughly disappointed. .. firstly what we initially picked on the menu was unavailable,.We asked that the food be made spicy for us . We like chilli but when our starter arrived it was bland, the main too was flavourless, & sauces were thin & runny as was the raita. The portions were small for the price... we so wanted this place to be good as we are vegetarian & adore Indian cuisine, but it was sadly lacking... we won't be back. We have been eating Indian food for many years( myself all my life & my husband 35 years) & this was one of the worst we have ever had. For Indian Street food you cannot do better than lily's vegetarian restaurant in Ashton under Lyne! Unfortunately chai station has a lot of catching up to do
