Fun in the forest... we're looking forward to resuming our outdoor learning activities at Cheapside Primary forest setting today and tomorrow...

A fun-filled start to the term this week with some craft and lots of sparkle as some of the children made a new display for our wall. More fun and games in music with Mad Academy in Monday's session and Rugbytots this morning. We resume our outdoor learning activities in the forest on Monday and Tuesday so please remember to pack appropriate clothing and shoes. ­¤ī│­¤¦ż­¤¦Ż Next week we will be doing lots of activities based on the childrenŌĆÖs interests. We have spaces available now at our lovely pre-school. Children from 2 1/2 - 5 years welcome. With extended breakfast and after school care we offer nursery hours (7.45am - 6pm) with the benefit of a pre-school environment - with lots of indoor and outdoor learning. We had a very special delivery this week from the North Pole. What a lovely surprise for the children. Our cheeky Elf, Mr Jolly Pickle Pants is certainly keeping everyone amused with all his mischief!

How healthy is your lunchbox? At Cheapside Pre-school we are always working towards teaching the children about healthy eating and teaching them the importance of taking care of our bodies with what we eat and keeping active. We would like to share this information with parents too so that we can all work together to make healthier choices at our mealtimes. Here's some information from Eat Better Start Better about what should be included when putting together a healthy lun...chbox for your child. According to the British nutrition foundation a balanced packed lunch should include
* 1 portion of starchy food - ie bread, pasta, rice or similar carbohydrate * 1 portion of fruit AND 1 portion of veg * 1 portion of dairy * 1 portion of protein

We've had another fun filled week at pre-school and the children have been enjoying some new activities and room layouts this week. Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Another busy morning for our little ones at Cheapside Pre-school. We had lots of fun in the forest, playing with mud kitchens and looking for bugs on our weekly outdoor learning sessions at Cheapside Primary School.

This week at Cheapside Pre-school we will be: * Making lots of autumn crafts and messy play * Focusing on the letter of the week which is "P" Tune: Wheels on the Bus.

We've had some lovely feedback from Ofsted in our latest inspection at the start of this term and are proud of our little pre-schoolers, their families and our hardworking team. We are pleased to have been awarded a GOOD rating. Please share our good news.

This week we will be having fun exploring superheroes, we would love to see any books you have from home.
DonŌĆÖt forget we are starting our outdoor adventures on Monday and Tuesday, so please bring in appropriate clothing and footwear.

Goodbye to our school leavers, we wish you the very best in the next chapter in your big adventures.
We look forward to all the children who are staying with us returning to preschool at the start of september, followed by some new friendly faces.
