Thank you for helping us celebrate the 70th birthday of the NHS! We joined NHS organisations across the country and took part in the Big-7-Tea, recognising all of our staff with mini open days at both sites! We unveiled the latest plans for our Critical Care Development at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital site, along with the CW+ Sun and Stars appeal at West Middlesex University Hospital and welcomed some special visitors throughout the day, with performances from our local schools and a chance to meet our therapy dogs.

The care I have received in this hospital is exceptional. The staff are so caring and knowledgeable. They seem to enjoy what they do and treat you as a human being 100 percent. My experiences with my pregnancies and labour at the hospital have been incredible. Thank you to all the Amazing and well trained midwifes in Chelsea and westminster.

Keep the passion for your job going 👍👍

Spent a week with AAU and Edwin Horne ward. Mass infection with Lupus. Got me up and going again, even though crazy busy and rushed off your feet.

HSA's are the bomb. More pay I say. More investment in NHS

Thank you so much all, specially thanks to Lucy HSA, for the dignity.

Saying ‘I love it’ isn’t really correct, who loves being at a hospital! But, the staff in the burns unit are totally fantastic. Caring and positive, and very helpful. My treatment is ongoing and is not healing totally as it should, but even in this slightly negative scenario, the staff do their best to pick me up, and tell me to stop doing the housework!!!

Particular mention to the girl on reception, bright, bubbly and efficient. With a great sense of humour. Thanks to all of you.

User

I have been to the hospital since 2005 and every time i have been there I have had brilliant staff. I had to 2 surgery's one in 2007 and one last year and both times I was well looked after and kept up to date on all of the procedures and all the staff including theatre staff to hdu staff to the ward staff. xxxx

User

I had hand/arm surgery last year here, and have never had any issues. I saw a senior hand therapist yesterday, she is great to work with, and there is always a great consistent multi-disciplinary approach.

One annoying issue is that every time I go to the Therapy Department, there is always a queue to book in. There is often either a very slow lady on reception who often disappears for minutes upon end, or just one male receptionist who tries to make the best of a large queue. I would suggest that the management of that Department get their act together, that's the only bugbear.

User

I came into the Burns ICU on September 16th 2014 without knowing it. I was in a coma with full thickness burns to my head and arms.

The treatment I received from EVERYONE from the ICU nurses who looked after me, the plastic surgeons who operated, to the Physio staff who helped me move again, not forgetting the unbelievable nurses on the ward, is something that I will never be able to fully express my gratitude for.

I believe that the staff at C&W changed my life for the better, and to have such a dedicated and compassionate team is a credit to the NHS.

It's nearly a thousand days since being discharged from Hospital, and everyone single one is thanks to that amazing team - Thank you from a very grateful patient!!

User

Currently an inpatient on Annie Zunz. Cannot fault the care from the nursing staff. Also as this is not a local hospital for me I'm very grateful for the volunteers who brightened my day by taking me to the MediCinema last night. Thank you.

User

Amazingly well oiled machine is how I can describe your experience if/when you decide to have your baby at this hospital, whether it be in the birthing centre or labour ward delivery suite, you know you are in good hands, the communication is brilliant, they just all work so well together, they understand their patients and they work for you not against you. Every single time I have been their whether as a doula or there to pick up a placenta for Encapsulation there is always a friendly face, always a smile, even though sometimes they are extremely busy and tired, they get on with the job and do it in a way that deserves a mention. Such a great place and such great people.

User

Absolutely first class care. Individual midwife support throughout labour in the birthing suite and labour ward. Such highly skilled, knowledgeable and caring staff. Brilliant communication and a balance of giving me my own space then encouraging different ideas. Hugely grateful for all the advice and attention xx. Five star midwife professionals- I am very appreciative of the NHS and think more people should share positive stories because it is a system we need to be proud of and shout about

User

I was there to deliver my 3rd child and given my experience at other hospitals and have been a staff in one as well I believe that the patient care I received was inconsistent and a few of the staff were Unaware of things to do and merely left it hanging in the balance.

I was also furious about the fact that my options weren't always explained to me and a lot of choices were made for me regardless of whether or not that's what I wanted or thought was best.

Nevertheless, the building was nice and clean and some of the staff that I came in contact with were hard working and professional.

I also liked the fact that the shops were downstairs to grab stuff last minute.

User

why is this happening? this is a post of my friend Afra Moonbell !!!!

My 14yr old nephew had a sports accident at school and soon after began to feel unwell and feel pain in his neck and a loss of feeling in his right leg and arm. He was taken to A & E who sent him off with an appointment for physiotherapy even though they had not identified what was causing the pain and paralysis. When he was taken to physiotherapy, they quite rightly said that they couldn't do anything until his condition had been properly assessed.

On Friday he woke up with no feeling at all in his right leg and some paralysis in his left leg and weakness in his arms and he could not walk. An ambulance was called but his condition was not deemed urgent enough. After much stress and lack of support, he was eventually admitted into hospital. Because his symptoms could indicate all sorts of serious things, including damage to his spine or brain, it is agreed by all that he needs an urgent MRI scan to determine what exactly is happening to him and to prevent any further potential and irreversible damage.

BUT, apparently Chelsea & Westminster do not have an MRI operative working at weekends. And they can't transfer him to a hospital that does have one because they belong to different trusts. We were also told that even if there was one that was available, the consultant would still need to put a 'case' forward to justify the use of an MRI.

It is now Monday and he still hasn't had an MRI scan and his condition has worsened. I am beyond distressed about what has happened, what is happening to him and about the lack of care and treatment that he is getting. It is truly terrifying to learn that we can no longer rely on our precious NHS to care for our children (or anybody else) and I am so fucking angry and powerless in this situation. Don't know what to do???

User

Yet again I went thinking new rotation and id be helped but no same nasty attitude to me in A&E. Found first thing they could see on xray which is not new and sent home with paracetamol (Im a chronic pain patient whom is on slow release morphine) yet sent away with no answer and after just having endocarditis and tia’s (diagnosed at different hospital). A dog would have got better care.

User

Used to work there got fired from informing HR that my manager had made 21 Data protraction breaches and when I resigned and went for a new job HR and my manager wrote a malicious and fictitious reference costing me my new job.

User

Really poor wife is on the 22nd week of pregnancy and having Blood traces on her urine . After three hours we are still waiting on the maternity ward and no given any updates or time range of when we will get one available.

User

If I could give them a 0 star rating I would. Idiotic night nurse and doctor staff. Will make you wait for hours then tell you nothing. Happened to my friend too.

User

I am really shocked! The amount of staff and patients using the mobile phone is beyond believe! Even staff using it at wards and operation theatre! Action and immediate has to be taken to stop that. I believe it divert the focus which should be directed on the patient.

User

How on earth do you communicate with the departments?!

User

Had a terrable experience today.

My wife had a minor Day Case operation this morning @8 am. By 11 am I aksed to Fry Surgical and I was infrmed everything fine she will be in the David Evans wards soon. At 1 pm I asked again, I was been informed she will be in the ward soon.

It is nearly 6pm. Every single time I was told the same message.

I need to pick up my son from child care and this is why I have to left now. I asked very kindly to the Duty Ward Manager/Supervison if there any way I can pass a message to my wife. Surprisely I was rudely refused!

This should not be the service from the Hispital.

Thanks Hispital as I cant rate less tan one!

Thank You
