Mason Mount commits his future to the Blues!
After an impressive loan spell under now Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard at Derby last season, Mount has accepted a new 5 year contract at Chelsea.
On signing his new deal, 20-year-old Mount said: ‘It’s a massively proud moment for myself and my family. I joined this club at six years old and it was always my goal to play for the first team one day. I’m really looking forward to the coming season now and working hard to have an i...mpact here at Chelsea. I’ve been at the club for a long time already and hopefully I’ll stay for a long time to come.’
Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia added: ‘Mason has come right the way through the Chelsea Academy and has always stood out as a fantastic talent and dedicated individual. We have monitored his development extremely closely while he has been out on loan and believe he is now ready to be a member of our squad competing at the top of the Premier League.
‘Like another of our Academy graduates, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, we are delighted Mason has committed himself to the club this summer and look forward to an exciting future ahead.’

Assistant Head Coach - Jody Morris.
Morris once again follows his former team-mate Lampard to another step in his managerial journey. Morris made 173 appearances for Chelsea between 1996 and 2003, having progressed through the ranks at the Academy. He holds the title of being the youngest ever player to feature for Chelsea in the Premier League, making his debut at 17 years, 43 days. Morris was also hugely successful as the... coach of Chelsea Under-18's, winning seven trophies in his two seasons in charge.
Assistant Coach - Eddie Newton
Newton returns to Chelsea as an assistant coach, having previously worked the position alongside Guus Hiddink and Roberto Di Matteo. Newton joined Chelsea as a 13 year old, progressing through the ranks to eventually make 214 appearances for the club. Newton has spent the past three years working as a loan player technical coach, in charge of our players out on loan.
Assistant Coach - Joe Edwards
Edwards has most recently worked with Chelsea as the development squad coach. Previously a Chelsea schoolboy player, Edwards has been a part of the Academy coaching staff since 2004, most notably winning the FA Youth Cup in 2015 and 2016.
Assistant Coach - Chris Jones
Jones had previously been Chelsea's fitness coach for nine years before joining Lampard at Derby last season. He, like Morris, follows Lampard in returning.
Goalkeeper Coach - Henrique Hilario
The former Portugal international made 39 appearances for Chelsea between 2006 and 2014 before hanging up his gloves. He then returned as a coach since 2016.

The 19 year old impressed last season on loan at Wigan, picking up their player of the year award, and will be given his chance to impress Frank Lampard once he returns from injury, and earn a spot in Chelsea's first team this season.
Given Chelsea's looming transfer ban, Chelsea are unwilling to let James to leave this summer, but multiple reports claim that Crystal Palace are willing to wait until January to try to sign the youngster either on loan or permanently.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek commits his future to Chelsea signing a 5 year contract with the Blues.
'I'm really happy and pleased that I get to stay here for another five years. Chelsea and Atletico Madrid have today agreed terms for the permanent transfer of Alvaro Morata.
The player will continue playing for Atletico on loan for the upcoming 2019/20 season, and the move will be made permanent ahead of the 2020/21 season.

Chelsea's longest serving player Kenneth Omeruo wants a permanent move away from Chelsea after not making a single league appearance for the Blues since signing in 2012.
“I think now’s the time for me to leave, to find a place, to be my own man,” he says. “I’m married with a baby now, so I need stability. Chelsea have done amazingly for me, and for my family as well, but it’s the time when I need to reach my potential and get where I think I deserve to be.”
