Another Buoyant & well attended evening last night with 23 people spread over 4 teams for our Music Quiz, the NGT's overcame the Ged-Eyes for the 1st time this year, scores on the doors were :

Warm and friendly service and good choice of lunch, what you get on your plate is plentiful and very tasteful.

Shame I live in Surrey or would be there more often.

Next time at my daughters will definitely call in����xx

The best pub in Billericay and probably in this area, quality beers, wines, and food at lunch time superb, and not to mention the staff, class one.

I was privileged to have dj'd my Ska N Mash event here and I was overwhelmed with the friendliness and happiness of the customers and staff. An amazing and very busy night, in mid January, on a Thursday!

A lovely greeting from the landlady. Hopefully I can come along again, but I will definitely be visiting the pub for a social when I'm in Billericay.

I can't decide if The Chequers or The Railway is the best pub in Billericay so I've decided to spend the next few years visiting both as much as possible to get a balanced view... Although sometimes my balance isn't too good after a longish "reviewing" session..!

Had an excellent day at the Chequers,friendly great fiibe in the tent , music and staff all very helpful.thanks to the girls on the Gin stall helping me choose the different ones , most enjoyable thank you .

Great pub by far the best one in Billericay, i have been taking my 2 year old daughter here since she was born and ive also been drinking there for around 5years , love it here they also allow dogs in here and do a great beer festival on or around 5th may

Great place to relax, very welcoming owners and super great with dogs, even if it wonders. Love this place , little garden at back for summer evenings

Great country pub, great food, friendly staff. Great experience for these Kiwi girls from New Zealand.

First time I’ve been there is a nice pub with great beers � we had a yummy lunch witch we enjoyed,will be back soon

Best pub in Billericay could do with making the price of the drinks a little cheaper as they seem to think it's ok to charge London prices.

All fashioned pub with great food and most helpful staff good not do enough for you will go again.

Only had a drink each but the bartender was really polite. Even said goodbye and said have a good day when he was sitting outside having his break.
