Last before and after of the week! Some pieces like to be a little troublesome when being refurbished.... however a couple of days on the naughty step soon sorted this!! It took its time coming together but finally its delivered.... Sanded, sealed, primed and painted in Farrow & Ball “Hague Blue” with an antique pine waxed top and new pewter handles. We are now friends...

Another before and after. A client wanted their solid pine chest rejuvenated.... We collected, sanded, sealed, primed and painted it their choice of Farrow & Ball “cooks blue” It was finished with brand new 38mm chrome handles.

A BEFORE AND AFTER.....
This became a labour of love for me and finally it’s going back to its owner today! Well, after I danish oil the top and legs! An existing client bought this retro sideboard off eBay and asked me to refurbish it and they gave me an idea of how they wanted it to look. It was sanded, stripped, sealed, primed and painted farrow and ball “stiff key blue” leaving the legs and top natural to danish oil....we just sanded the original handles.... Very pleased how it’s finished and now have sideboard envy in a big way!

Just 2 more days until race day!! 46 carts bombing....or tootling down Dunorlan Park hill in Tunbridge wells for Crazy Jeans Soapbox Race. This is in aid for hospice in the Weald and Taylor-made Dreams....a charity that gives terminally ill children a chance to realise a dream, a fantastic charity. Any spare change I would be very grateful.
... Oh....and due to race day, sadly the shop will be closed. That’s this Saturday 8th June.

NEARLY DONE....
One of the sideboards that was top coated today. Finished in one of farrow and balls latest colours.... “Paen Black” Stunning isn’t it....

Just finishing for the night....... and 2 sideboards in their dark tones primer, ready for two different top coats tomorrow!

Lee’s gone all Alan Titchmarsh at Chests and Drawers. Picked up the hanging baskets from the garden centre at the weekend. Brackets are up and of course with flowers the shop colours, I’m quite pleased! If this doesn’t get you excited enough..... the topiary balls for the front door arrive Thursday!! Joe did a great job Saturday weeding the front too.

As you know and have seen by the pictures, myself and my team have entered the “crazy jeans soapbox race” on 8th June at Dunorlan Park, Tunbridge Wells. It’s in aid of two amazing local charities, hospice in the Weald and Taylor-made Dreams. The first is well known, where the second is a charity set up by a local mum who sadly lost her son at 15 to cancer. She created and runs this charity that makes terminally ill children’s dreams ...come true. She’s an incredible lady and I would love to do well for her, as I would of course the hospice. We together are trying to raise £50k on the day for these great charities. I would be very grateful for anything at all, as every little counts. I will also be donating £10 for every piece of furniture I sell before the 8th of June. Anybody coming to the event, please come to say hello and don’t forget to shout for me as we hurtle down the course! With 46 carts, among many other things going on, it will be a great fun day. JUST COMPLETED.....
Another kitchen refurbishment completed this week. Finished in little greene co “French grey dark” and using the clients original handles.

Main colour of farrow and ball “railings” went on the soapbox cart for charity last night. Stickers, and seats still to add. Chests and drawers are one of 45 carts doing the man made course of jumps and haybales in aid of hospice in the Weald and Taylor’s dreams. 8th June at Dunorlan Park, Tunbridge wells

The chests and Drawers soapbox cart is built and last night had its orange coat added! To be finished in its main colour tomorrow evening. Event is crazy jeans soapbox race 8th June, dunorlan Park Tunbridge wells. 46 creations being raced down a man made track, among many other family things going on.
