We love having Chiltern Academy perform at the Activate Youth Dance Festival at Aylesbury Waterside theatre each year. They are such a professional group, always producing an excellent standard of performance with exciting choreography. Much admired by other groups performing as well.

There's a certain magic about Chiltern Academy that's hard to define. Is it the bundles of happy students I see running in every week clutching their dance bags, eager to get into lessons? Is it in the parents, their faces pressed up against the door trying to catch a glimpse of the wonderful things that go on inside? Or is it based in the foundations of the dance school that REALLY cares and welcomes every single student?

So why do I send my girls? They are taught by creative and talented teachers who inspire and encourage them to be the very best they can. They learn not only poise, posture and discipline but also confidence, teamwork and tenacity. They learn how to express themselves through the freedom of dance and they learn a healthy respect for their bodies. They are always happy and excited to go and they always talk about their lessons when they come home. Simply, the Chiltern Academy magic is addictive and our lives wouldn't be the same without it.

My daughter loves Chiltern Academy. She has attended since she was 3yrs old and has studied 3 different styles of dance. Given the chance she would do them all.

She loves performing in the shows and taking her exams. Her confidence over the years has really grown.

She has a plan to continue up to GCSE level and then become a teacher like her idols and she's only 9 yrs old.

The staff are kind and nurturing and there is a real family spirit among the girls of all ages. I couldn't recommend Chiltern Academy and it's teachers enough.

User

Love everything about Chiltern Academy, my children and i would not go anywhere else!

I have been attending Chiltern Academy for approx 30 years and absolutely love going to classes. The choreography is challenging yet achievable and makes you forget about the worries and stresses of everyday life. For me dancing is a great way of exercising, without really realising that you're exercising as classes are fun and enjoyable but at the same time the teachers know what individuals are capable of and push you to achieve that potential.

User

I attended Adult Tap and Modern classes after having been to dance college for three years, the standard is outstanding and challenged me to become a better dancer. It was wonderful being able to take part in classes and shows again, and I am absolutely gutted that I can no longer continue, but I'll be back as soon as I can!

User

Fantastic dance school with specialist dance teachers who are excellent. Been at school for 16 years and will take my children there too. Do brilliant performances for the parents and great progression opportunities for the kids to do lots of shows, exams and competitions. Would highly recommend as so many varied dance styles for all ages from 2 onwards.

Chiltern Academy is outstanding! My daughter has attended Chiltern Academy since she was 3 years old. She has been lucky enough to enjoy ballet, jazz, tap, modern and pointe classes as well as musical theatre and acting lessons. There have also been lots of performance opportunities in shows, dance festivals and demonstration days, as well as the opportunity to take recognised exams should you wish to progress to a career in this field. The staff at Chiltern Academy are fantastic - Talented, dedicated and enthusiastic! They genuinely care about each and every child, nurturing them to ensure they reach their potential. My daughter commented the other day " Without Chiltern Academy I would not be the person I am today" and I could not agree more; not only has she learnt dance and performance skills but also so many important life skills. Chiltern Academy is like a family and I know my family will always feel privileged to be a part of the wider 'Chiltern Academy Family'!

Chiltern Academy is an excellent dance school. My daughters have attended since they were little tots! They study ballet, modern, jazz, tap, street dance, drama and musical theatre. The skills they learn there are so much more than dance; it is important life skills - working with others, setting goals, dedication. commitment, hard work pays off, professionalism, time-keeping, respect for themselves and others and the value of perseverance. They have taken part in shows that are of a high professional standard and performed in different locations with different types of audience. There have been so many wonderful opportunities. It has truly enhanced their learning and their lives! We were also delighted that my daughter achieved an A in her GCSE Dance giving her another valuable qualification. On top of that, Chiltern Academy is a friendly, welcoming place - the atmosphere is caring and nurturing and I can't recommend it highly enough. They have taught my girls to "face the music, and DANCE".

User

Chiltern Academy is a wonderful dance school, both my daughters dance there and not only to they receive great lessons they also learn important values. They get structure, learn new skills and build valuable friendships. They are also given great opportunities and get involved with shows and other performances which they get so much joy out of. Chiltern academy and the great team of teachers put so much in and have helped both my daughters with self confidence, good discipline and most of all a happy environment to be in. They would not be without it. Highly recommended.

Chiltern Academy is a rare jewel. The talented and dedicated team work tirelessly to create a welcoming environment where every student is valued and encouraged. Talented dancers are supported to achieve their dreams and those who come 'just for fun' are all part of the same, very special team. Quite simply, myself and my daughters wouldn't consider anywhere else.

Budding ballerina or just for fun! My daughters (now in their 20's) attended weekly from the ages of 3 to 18, only leaving to attend uni. Their classes included Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz, Street Dance and even Dance GCSE. In addition to the obviously high standard of teaching, CA provided a fun, nurturing and even social environment that extended way beyond the usual after school club. The varied classes provided the chance to find their niche and develop at their own pace. The plethora of shows and performances contributed to the girls enjoyment and confidence; nothing more so than Jane giving them the opportunity to join the cast of a West End musical for a period of time. Perhaps the biggest testament is that the girls (along with many other former pupils) still return to help Jane and the team backstage on show day!

User

An amazing school! I attended from the age of 2 to 18 years, and Chiltern Academy's training led me to go on and train at a top London dance school. I was a professional dancer for 10 years before injury struck, and I went into teaching, and now run my own drama school. I wouldn't be the person I am today without Chiltern Academy!

I'm proud to be now taking both my daughter and son weekly, and wouldn't go anywhere else. They deliver great ISTD training and exams, lots of performance opportunities and proper dance school feel. Their teaching is high quality, and so many students have gone on to perform and teach, all because of Jane and her teaching staff. Highly recommended!

A truly wonderful dance school with fantastic teachers. My daughter has been with Chiltern Academy for 5 years & she says she just wants to do everything here! It's professional, it's fun & they put on the most incredible shows every 2 years at the Wycombe Swan. I wish I had this opportunity when I was a little girl.
