What a fantastic trip today with Two Waters School. All of the staff members were so engaging and brilliant with the kids and the knowledge they were able to share was pitched perfectly for our Y3 group. All of us teaching staff loved it too! On top of that, the weather was amazing and the kid's playground was superb! Definitely will be paying another visit soon! :)

Went for the blacksmith experience day - mega fun and a bargain considering it was just the two of us with an expert for the whole day. Started off making a piece together, then spent time in the afternoon making something of our choice. Mark, the blacksmith, clearly knew exactly what he was doing and was full of interesting information. I would happily do this again and have just as much fun the next time round. Next step, building forge in our own garden...

We went hear on Wednesday it was raining but we still had an enjoyable day. There was lots to see but unfortunately we needed another day to see it all we did go and make a candle at a small charge but my girls loved it and they now have there candles at home in there bedroom. We also went to the event that they had on which was in the woods my girls got to make a spear from flint and learn how to start a fire using fools gold and a flint then learnt how they used to make string in the old days and what they used to eat and how to make it then after all that they got to make a necklace with the string they made and some beads. A very enjoyable day out would of been nicer with good weather but that never stopped us from having a good time.

User

We we went to the Bushcraft day today and had a wonderful time. Highly recommended

User

Took two grandchildren age 7 and 4 to Terrific Tuesday during half term - we had a great time! Scavenger Hunt took us into the woods, made a bird feeder and other crafty things. Enjoyed the BBQ too! Then we attended the Halloween Extravaganza on Friday evening and had an equally fun time. So much work put into the events and they have never failed to please. This is our second year with an annual pass, we all love visiting on special days and 'ordinary' days. Granny and Granddad sometimes just go for a stroll around, cup of tea and homemade cake. Yummy! Would recommend to any family who enjoy the great outdoors and reliving history.

This only gets better n better. I remember cutting roof purlines n assembling n painting the cast-iron Victorian toilets nearly 30yrs ahi

This is a great place for children and adults. Especially liked the prefab house and the cottage where the lady was baking pancakes on the stove. For anyone who wants to see what it is like to have lived in days gone by this is ideal.

User

Super place, haven't been for a long time since I was little. Took my little ones to the harvest festival today, they loved it so much. Lots to see and learn. They all want to go back x

User

Really good day out with buildings re-erected from around the Chilterns. They range from a telephone box to some very complex agricultural buildings. The prefab was particularly nostalgic, beautifully furnished with contemporary items. Good cafe too, rare breeds and apple and cherry orchards. Very happy to have discovered the museum.

User

Lovely place, lots to wander round and explore. Ideal for kids.

Just got back home from visiting you today for Terrific Tuesday. My granddaughter, and us, have had the most amazing day. She has loved all the activities and has come home with some lovely things. Her favourite activity was making a bug house, which has how been placed carefully in the wood pile. A huge thank you to you all, you've made a little girl very happy today.

User

It was an amazing day out my grandchildren aged 3yrs and 5yrs got to do some old fashioned washing make candles and flat bread and the best part of the day was the storyteller they both loved this. Food was fresh and good value we will definately be back x x

User

It was a nice sunny day. And it was my birthday.

We, my family and I , visited the museum for the second time and listened to the stories of the past.

We saw the newborn lambs and had a lovely picknick under the large Maple.

A very good start of my year to come.

User

Fantastic day out to the museum. I had never been before and found it when searching for places to visit nearby. Such a sweet little village to explore and very quiet as we visited on a Monday Morning, which was lovely. Well set up and lots to see, even the gardens of the houses were beautiful. The entrance fee was very reasonable and I would love to return for an event day. A member of staff recommended visiting on Halloween and said its always very well attended. There is so much scope as well, new additions and more interactive activities would really add to the Place :)

User

Brilliant day out! The staff and volunteers are absolutely fantastic, the loom lady (unfortunately didn't find out names) did a wonderful demonstration, Man in the farm told us all about the machinery, the lovely lady in the farm house demonstrated how to use a spinning wheel and a fantastic very patient man taught crowds of children how to thatch. Everyone we spoke to knew so much about their chosen subjects and spoke about them with such passion, this was not our first visit but is a wonderful treasure we could visit every year. We even made candles to bring home.

User

A pleasant hours ramble from Chorleywood Station. The buildings are all interesting and there are plenty of activities and animals for the visitor to enjoy. I was surprised to find the gift shop did not have fridge magnets as there are at least six views which would make a lovely collection and advertise the museum at the same time.

User

A crowd of us attended the museum for the chiltern pride night on Friday. We all had a wonderful time. The event was brilliantly organised and being able to walk around the houses and Tin church was a bonus. I personally will definitely be back during the day to explore further !!

10/10 for the pride event and the wonderful entertainment, we all will be back next year if there is another one !!!
