The Echo of Zen event was held at London Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Temple 倫敦佛光山 to showcase the Chiba, an ancient flute originating in China and then developing and becoming preserved in Japan and Japanese culture. Tea ceremomy, flower arranging and incense also induced a contemplative atmosphere through which one's Buddhist nature was able to reveal itself. #buddhism

Chinese Artists included: Yang Yaoning, whose works display a love of the traditions of Chinese landscape ink painting but are highly innovative and experimental; Nie Weigu, whose traditional techniques contrast effectively with the boldness and international appeal of his powerful imagery; An Yumin, whose works reflect a love of the traditions of Chinese watercolour coupled with his enthusiasm for combining... delicate character painting and calligraphy, Zheng Yingchun, whose loosely painted narrative works reflect her rural origins and are both poetic and melancholic; Liao Songtao, whose delicate works pursue the beauty of art and convey his fascination with traditional culture and techniques; Zhang Sunzhe, who is an individual artist whose refined and detailed works employ contemporary techniques to comment on man’s relationship with nature.
