After an active Friday session outside in the sunshine yesterday our colts continued their training with batting and bowling in our cricket school

There was plenty of action at our Forest Side ground on Sunday! Our U9 team hosted Hornchurch in their second game of the season with parents giving great support and a BBQ! Our U13's had a fine match against West Essex in the morning too and the Sunday side won by 31 runs against Little Berkhamsted in the afternoon. Next Sunday (26th) our U11's play away to Buckhurst Hill from 09.30am.

Having won their first game yesterday, our new U9 team get to play their second fixture of the year this Sunday 19th May, playing at our Forest Side ground from 09.30am.
At the same time, but in a different part of the ground, our U13's will also be playing so please come along and give them all your support! Two games for the price of one and both FREE to watch!

Boys and girls who take part in the coaching camp will have the chance to meet Jamie Porter (recently called in to the full England team) and Dan Lawrence. Both Jamie and Dan play for Essex CC and the England Lions and for our First X1 when they have the opportunity.
... It is an exciting opportunity for any boy or girl interested in or who wants to get involved in cricket.
The club is Clubmark accredited and our coaches are ECB-qualified and DBS -checked..

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dennis Cook, who died on Saturday 9th March. His funeral will be on Monday 8th April 2.15 at the Forest Park Crematorium, Hainault. Afterwards friends and family will be returning to the Queen Elizabeth pub in Chingford. Please let Dee know if you will be going so that she can cater for numbers. There will be a collection for Age Concern as an alternative to flowers.

We are looking for cricketers to both play for the club and to help with our All Stars (5-8 year olds) and the development of an U9 team (with the older All Stars that attended last year) - and to be a role model to help us attract more girls/women to the club. We have a few girls every year join us as All Stars and we don't want to lose them!
We don't necessarily need someone who is already qualified as a cricket coach, because we have other coaches that they could work with.... This year, in addition to All Stars, we plan to be running coaching for team age groups U9, U11, U13 and U15 and an U19 T20 team
We offer to fund a Coach Support Worker course (1 -day courses run by Essex CCC coming up in March and April) and later in the year, help with next stage training which would lead to an ECB coaching qualification.
All Stars training sessions for the new season are held on Fridays in our indoor cricket schools approx 5pm-7pm. Please message if you are interested!
