Be a scientist for the day!
Children can in the Maldives at Six Senses Laamu when they join the team on the MUI. The Junior Marine Biology Program is designed for children from 6 to 16 years old. MUI, the Maldives Underwater Initiative team allows juniors to experience real-world conservation and explore diverse fields in marine biology.
There are up to seven programmes juniors can partake in:
... •Meet your MUI Mentors •How to Help the Ocean •Protecting the Big Stuff •Sharing the Science •Studying the Sea •Habitats of Laamu •Personal Project
They can conduct a survey to learn more about the creatures that live on Six Senses Laamu’s beaches. Coral reefs, seagrasses and mangroves are all connected ecosystems that each have a role to play in keeping our oceans healthy. Children learn about the benefits these ecosystems provide and the tools scientists use to protect them.
