** power cut **
I’ve just spoken to Scottish Power who have informed me that they are aware of the widespread power cut over areas of the Clarkston area. Engineers are now en route and they are hopeful to have the power restored by 12 tonight.

I saw just some of these presents in the Council HQ building last week and I was so completely moved by such wonderful generosity. Well done everyone 😀

** Clarkston Fire Update **
My heart absolutely goes out to the local residents who have been affected by the house fire today.
I have spoken with both the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Police Scotland and have been informed that the fire is now under control but that one appliance remains at the address to make sure that the fire is completely extinguished. One resident has been taken to hospital as a precaution but there are no life threatening injuries.
... The police are remaining on scene for traffic control until the fire brigade depart.
