Happy Birthday to the Wrigley Company, which was founded by William Wrigley Jr on this day in 1891. Wrigley's make our favourite sugar-free chewing gum, Wrigley's Extra (other sugar free gums are available!), which is ace at freshening your breath and protecting your teeth!
Further fun fact, our practice manager Tiran has fond childhood memories of driving past the Wrigley's factory near Plymouth on his way to visit his grandparents. Apparently the air smelt strongly of Juicy Fruit, which sadly isn't a sugar free gum....

There's very little to cheer about in this article (apart from the Singing Dentist, he's great!). It's so sad to see such a large rise in extractions for children due to tooth decay, especially as so many of them could be prevented. And to hear that 42% of children didn't see a dentist in 2015/16 breaks our hearts here at Clocktower Dental.
We wholeheartedly agree with The Singing Dentist's tips for looking after children's teeth, so have a read and a watch, and then give us a call! Remember, it's FREE for children under 18 to see a dentist!

I'm not great with going to the dentist but the staff at the clocktower dentist made me fill very relaxed and I was very happy with the treatment I received I'm not saying I'm looking forward to the next visit but I'm happy to return for my next treatment

I normally hate the dentist, but I cannot praise this practice highly enough. From the young lady on reception, to the wonderful Vijay, who set me at ease and removed a bothersome wisdom tooth in minutes.

Great dentist, fitted a front tooth crown that lasted over 20 years. The dentist I see in the US in New York said it was the MAC truck of all crowns he had ever seen. The post was huge. Just had it replaced last year, and only because I had an infection at the root of the post. Otherwise I would still have it. Outstanding work Vijay.

Going to the dentist is a joy and my beautiful braces are working - so happy xx
