This restaurant is simply perfect. It is exactly the right size to give great service with a relaxed yet classy ambiance. Best of all, the chef is a genius and the food never disappoints. Don't think about it. Just go!

Stunning food, great wine and fantastic service with a sommelier that really knows his wine and clearly loves it. One of the best meals I've head in a very long time.

User

My local and a personal fave. They alway try new permutations and last time I did not enjoy the oysters with foie gras combination but other than that solid with great food and amazing service.

User

If you like French Cuisine this is the place to go. Food is unbelievably amazing. Service excellent, nothing too much trouble. Remember it isn't the cheapest but a Fantastic place for a special occasion.

I just flew 17 hours from Taipei to eat here and it was worth the flight. Every dish was unique...I mean, who combines sorbert with spicy pepper. Wine pairings were excellent as well.

User

Fabulous food, truly excellent. Service was a little slow taking over 2 hours for three courses but the food was worth the wait.

User

Couldn't of imagined a better evening each plate a masterpiece and every mouthful a party on your taste buds and so beautifully described by the server along with the paired wine will definitely be visiting again hopefully to try the summer menu :)

Booked this venue for my sons birthday. What an absolute treat, the food was amazing each dish was presented like a work of art. The staff were friendly, professional and approachable. The restaurant is lovely with really lovely ambience. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this restaurant and will remember this extraordinary experience for a very long time. Huge Thank You to Pascal and his wonderful team for making Michael’s Birthday really special

Booked myself in for a prechristmas lunch. Decided against the taster menu as there was a dessert that had potential to being my greatest ever!

Had an initial amuse bouche after a cheese filled wafer.

Pre starter was foie Gras and caviar with squid ink cracker

Starter was a delicious venison carpaccio.

Main was a fillet of sturgeon (not a fish I have ever eaten before) with sea urchin foam.

Dessert a kumquat soufflé.

All courses were beautifully presented superb flavours and a visual treat. The chocolates at the end were superb.

Observations:-

on the plus side amazing lobster butter with the great bread

On the negative I had five courses four of which were served within 40 minutes, needed a little more time between some of the courses.

Very friendly interested staff, liked the white gloves put on to serve.

Lovely food in a smallish restaurant good service and nice staff.

Only other thought, was left with a residual hunger, could have eaten slightly larger main.

I think Pascal has a truly wonderful vision of classic Gasgon ingredients and flavours delivered in an exciting and contemporary way. I just wish the team out front demonstrated a little more flair and passion when delivering it . It remains one of my favourite destinations. With a bit more umph out front it would be my absolute number one.

Great food the best I have ever hadService outstanding highly recommend to anyone the outmospher was brilliant we had our own waiter who was incredible.Superb dinner thank you William you ate the best

User

Foie gras with japanese twist, lobster potage, and dark Chocolate with olive were my favorites. Was it mind blowing experience? No. Yet, it was great cuisene. Services was also good.

I think it's so sad that in spite of the rest of the world waking up to the horrors of force-feeding ducks and geese, the chef at Club Gascon espouses a product that is made from the sick and fattened liver of animals who are tortured every day before being slaughtered. How can something made that way taste good to him or to his customers? ***

A rollercoaster of disappointment. Some dishes are right some are not. I don’t call that Michelin restaurant. Very lucky.

As French I know what is the food culture and I don’t recommended. Too complicated, too many flavours. Pomme-Pomme and Chocolate pudding weren’t right too. Only the courgette and chanterelle dishes had my intention. The rest disappointed me with non-cleaning menu and splash of food in the wall. All for £300. No thank you and good luck

Very disappointing experience at a restaurant that call themselves a Michelin star restaurant. it is certainly NOT in the standard of a Michelin star restaurant at all. We visited this restaurant for my birthday, on entrance my partners jacket was received by the host and then thrown onto the sofa before being shown to our first table. We had asked for a nice table since this was a special celebration, however were sat in the middle of the restaurant - surrounded by groups of parties. We asked the waiter to change tables before sitting down to which he replied he needed to check with his manager. In the meantime we were left standing in the middle of the restaurant. Eventually we were shown to a table to the side of the room. Our menu's were provided - no assistance/descriptions of dishes offered and then our food order was taken. The waiter who took our food order was very rude and not helpful with the menu at all, I asked the waiter some questions about some of the dishes in the menu and he explained everything to me with use of all French words which does not make it helpful at all. Although I have to say the lady who took our wine order was very helpful with choice of our wine and we were really happy with what we choose.

Whilst waiting for our food the waiters were walking up and down the restaurant continuously. It seemed to me that they were over staffed, The restaurant was so crowded that the waiters sometimes had to move their heavy trays on top of the customers, at some point one of the waiters was an inch away from me; standing and talking to his colleagues very loudly. We were offered a complimentary appetiser which the waiter didn't bother to explain what it was, when the waiter served the food he dropped part of the dish on the floor but he carried on serving it, with no apology and not even bothering to take the food back and change it!

The food overall was just ok, nothing special, portions sized are very small and its not worth what you pay for. Of course you would expect a michelin start restaurant to have a high price but when the service is terrible, I'm not sure what else is left to enjoy! Staff were very rude and so pretentious. At the end we asked the manager to take the service charge off our bill, since I did not believe the service fits the standard of a michelin star restaurant.

Will not visit again.

User

I was very disappointed when I came to visit you on my birthday. I noticed you sell extrem animal cruelty foie gras, I had to walk out without even making an order. I will not be coming back till you remove foiegras off your menu..

User

I visited about a week ago for a family meal and was both shocked and disgusted to see foie gras on the menu. Please remove it! It's illegal to produce in this country on the grounds of animal cruelty.
