User

Lovely cocktails also had lunch here before and the soup was yummy and portions massive, love sitting outside in the sunshine watching the world go by

User

I have just been to coffee barker and received a fabulous service. The decor has changed and it is a lot less cluttered and I am loving the gin snug with a large sofa that makes you want to kick off your shoes and relax.I ordered hot food and a coffee, the coffee was served in good time and no sooner had I sat down and taken my coat off the food arrived. The food was plentiful, hot and fresh. I have fallen in love with this place all over again

User

Best coffee in the Lexicon by far. Staff are consistently chatty and friendly, chocolate marble cake and gluten free choc orange brownies are just

User

The coffee is really good and it has an awesome vibe to the place. When you do get served the staff are awesome. Just really wish there was a better system in place for serving customers more efficiently when it is busy :(

User

Love it when it’s open but very disappointed that when I went to go in there at 9pm this evening was told it was closed. On the web site it says it’s open to 11pm. This is not the first time. I think the website should be updated to reflect the actual opening times!

User

Been here a few times now. Always a pleasant experience with lovely vibes. Staff are friendly and helpful. The live music every other Friday is really nice and makes a change from.the booming sounds and silence of other enviroments. A very original place.

User

Unfortunately having been here twice now I have founding the waiting time unacceptable. We ordered 3 cocktails all the same a fourth which was different and a beer. It took just under 25 minuets for them to prepare these drinks and bring them to us. Too long to wait in my opinion! Disappointing as first time I thought it was because there was 10 of us but no different when only 4 people.

User

The coffee is lovely better than a lot of the coffee shops in town but unfortunately everything seems so disorganised. The staff who are very polite don’t give the impression that they actually feel confident in what they are doing. Everything seems to take such along time. The seating is also very full and on top of one another. Great looking place really quirky need some readjusting.

User

My wife loves it and has been many times with various family members. I've been 3 times and can see improvements from the poor first visit (first week teething/very busy issues). The queue system needs revising, table numbers are not all clear and not enough healthy simple snack choices, too many heavily sweet cakes, which though nice are not good for my diabetes or the town's overweight population. The latte's I've had have been good.

User

Visited before for breakfast and was impressed! Today we received microwaved sausages that were cold yet crumbly, eggs had been reheated in microwave so hard but cold. Staff explained food is cooked on site then reheated to order which I appreciate isn't unusual but I was surprised a weekend breakfast service didnt have fresher food.

Toddler had a very, very well done (but tasty) teacake but the butter dish was mostly liquid.. doesn't take a rocket scientist to not put butter under a hot plate.

Staff were very polite and refunded money as I refused food after snapping a sausage like a biscut. Coffee and hot chocolate excellent.

User

Too disorganised and my coffee was wrong - couldn't be bothered to complain as it had taken 10 minutes of standing waiting. Wanted breakfast but since they'd run out of my choice only an hour after opening and I witnessed two complaints due to cold, undercooked food, I went to the ever reliable Pret instead. Lovely place with staff trying to do their best, some investment in customer care would help I think.

User

Ok so the milkshakes are pretty darn good but the breakfast

Thumbs up for having gluten free bread - but advertising smashed avocado and eggs on toast should be what you say it is.

I am pretty adiment that it was guacamole

Spread on my toast (1 tiniest piece of

Avocado found!)... can you confirm if this was the case?! Add that to the 3 cherry tomatoes and a microwaved type egg all and all it’s a shocker. Honestly really bad.. I don’t usually complain but don’t want others to waste there money.

User

Lovely, lovely place with an amazing ambience. The prices are a little steep and the dishes are very much sugar loaded; hence we only come here for a treat. The place is very child friendly (there are some toys!). I am very happy to be able to buy my allergy toddler dairy/soy free cupcakes - something you can't get at other cafes - and is the main reason why I visit. More vegan offerings would be much appreciated!

We visited today and unfortunately had a little mishap. The girl behind the till seemed overwhelmed today, and was adamant that she has given us our change which unfortunately was not the case. She served the next customer straight away and "blocked" us; as we did not want to create a scene we left it (loosing nearly £4 is a lot though). However, I would advise to ensure that all staff are trained to stay calm when there is a queue.

Also, I find it very confusing that no spoons/forks are being served with the coffee/ cake / milkshake.

User

First time I have actually been in and stayed. The first time was sooo chaotic and busy we just walked out. Yesterday was nice as it was not very busy. However although the milkshakes were nice and full of flavour and came in milkbottles, I would not say it was value for money. You would expect the drinks to be cold (given they are milkshakes). I felt like I was in Nandos... you find a table, sit, think what you want, then go and order... even for a drink???!!!

I may just think again and stick with what I know and stick with Costa Coffee. Sorry guys!

User

What a dreadful shame how downhill this place has gone. Just been there today and hardly anything available on the menu, waited far too long for food, we finished our drinks long before food arrived. Tables were a mess and no-one cleared or cleaned any the whole time we were there. A family next to us had the adults food come out but despite them asking the 2 young children’s meals never came out so they walked out and went to Gregs to feed them. Please employ some adults and train them in customer care. Till then we will go to Costa. Sorry

User

Not for the first time we waited over 20mins for our coffee and when it turned up after me chasing it it was wrong , and there was another two couples also waiting, and it wasn’t exactly busy, the place is run by kids that don’t really know what’s going on and lack of experience, I blame management or lack of it ! At £7+ for two coffees I’d expect better service.

User

I’ve got to be honest was so looking forward to have an independent coffee shop to go to, first impressions love the decor , the feeling of the place you can go here in day or night for coffee, milkshakes or cocktails in evening , however , that is where positives stop I’m sad to say , 1st visit took over 30 mins to get our drinks , plus couldn’t accept cards only cash then halfway through that wait to be told they have run out of milk so cannot do the milkshakes we had ordered !!!! Ran out of milk in a coffee shop , 2nd visit ordered some lunch sat for 20 mins then to be told they have run out of what I had ordered so I ordered Caesar salad one of my fav, well for the price I paid basically what I got was a small tin bowl with lettuce and a couple bits of chicken , final visit was in evening I thought going to give them benefit of doubt and try again ordered cocktails , they cannot accept cards on this occasion so I had to pay cash luckily I had enough on me, the 2 guys making cocktails seamed very with it and said he could make a cocktail that wasn’t on the menu , paid at till must say very disorganised and lack of confidence with the girl serving us , went sat down to wait for cocktails (it wasn’t very busy ) it look over 30 mins for them to arrive the mojitos was bright green defo no fresh mint used some pre made something which tasted like mouthwash ,other drinks were nice but we had to drink really quickly as we had dinner booked elsewhere . I’ve got to say from what I’ve witnessed you need an experienced manager and some serious training to your staff and speed up service , there is no reason the cocktails couldn’t have been made there and then , there is now so much competition in Bracknell that I and 9 other of my friends who have all had same experience will not be coming back until it’s resolved . This could be such a nice place to go but you need to really sort out staff , stock levels .

User

I’m currently sitting in Coffee Barker having waited 30 mins for a pot of tea which is in effect, hot water!

Whilst waiting, several people tripped on a large nail which was sticking out of the floor. We pointed it out to staff who were disinterested and stated ‘we’re busy’.

After a small child tripped and fell I asked to speak a supervisor who informed me that they were aware of the issue and were waiting for an engineer!!!

We suggested a wet floor sign which has eventually (after 45 mins) been placed over the nail!
