User

Thank you Kawasaki.Had my cbt at Kawasaki today with Nathan, after a bit of a bad start as a first time ever bike user, Nathan was fantastic, built my confidence back up and had a fantastic training day, great trainer, great confidence builder, and over all made me feel very comfortable ty

User

Shout out to Nathan as I had a great time doing my CBT course today. Clearly a very skilled rider and a good teacher, explaining what to do then giving you a little space to explore and practice before stepping in and highlighting areas to focus on or try differently. Can't believe the change in confidence, from being wary at the start as it was my first time on a motorbike to happily pottering along the road by the end of the day.

Highly recommended, I've definitely caught the bug so I shall be back soon for the next stage of the DAS!

User

Massive thank you to Nathan and Kawasaki for getting me from complete beginner to passing my A license today. At no point did I feel uncomfortable or stressed, Nathan helps you through the whole process and made the whole experience Awesome! Thanks again!

User

Many thanks to Jill and all the team at Kawasaki who helped me pass my Mod 1 & 2 very good priced, professional and a fun team to be around. Would recommend to anyone!

User

Just wanted to say thanks to Nathan and crew at Colchester Kawasaki after completing the CBT today! Had a great time and loved Nathan’s relaxed, but knowledgeable approach, taking me from complete novice to safe learner over the day. Can’t wait to get out on the road again now before stepping up to the full test(s). Well done guys. Heartily recommended!!

User

Just picked up a new Aprilia Tuono Factory Saturday 19th 5.18. and would like to say what a fantastic experience they gave me from Luke, Emma, and everyone else I came in contact with all the staff are so courteous and friendly I will throughly recommend these to anyone Thanks again Guys n Girls 🇬🇧🏍️🏁Mike

User

Just passed my CBT without any hindrances! Must say that every member of the staff, especially Dave and Nathan, were more than just helpful throughout the whole process. Would highly recommend anyone to go to Colchester Kawasaki whether it's CBT or the full bike license as they put your safety first and that's the whole point. Great laugh and a fun day out!

User

Just passed my CBT on Friday! It was well worth a day off work and every single penny. Very well organised and I felt very well looked after. And very important - safe. We had Sam as our instructor and he was brilliant! Very patient and carrying. He actually made the boring bits intersting. It was like 35 degrees outside and we were well looked after with water and everything we needed. We had issues on the pad and we had some people being put on the twist and go but Sam was very professional about it and the person was very grown up about it too. I was OK on the pad and I was coping well even in the heat but riding out was a different story. I got really scared for some reason and it was effecting my riding. I knew it wasn't right. At the first break Sam gave me a pep talk and he was brilliant. After that my confidence started building up. I wasn't scared of the speed any more. When I did the roundabouts with Sam talking to my ear all the time I actually believed in myself. I had a first ridout yesterday with my partner following me up and it felt great. Definitely when I will progress and consider a DAS I will be back at Colchester Kawasaki and I will book in with Sam. To all the comments of 1* regarding the cbt and person failing it. All I can say there is always two sides of the story plus they really seam like a group of people with a lot of knowledge and experience. From my own experience I can only say it was amazing

User

I used Colchester Kawasaki for my CBT and also again for my DAS course. Not only were they the cheapest in the area but everyone that I had contact with were fantastic and accommodating. All throughout my training there was calming and professional tuition for which I would highly recommend this company, so a ‘BIG’ thank you to Jill, Steve and the fantastic Daryll. See you soon for a cuppa and a bacon roll

User

First thanks to Haydon and Jill, for being easy to deal with. Then Dave for getting me thru my CBT.Nathon for getting me thru my MOD1 and teaching me the modern way to ride a motorbike and setting me up for MOD2.Also to Daryll for the lesson,it was invaluble. A special thank-you to Steve,he was the difference between a pass and a fail. You have all made a Sixty year old man very happy.

User

Fantastic place , staff are very friendly & helpful with the best instructors ! Steve , nathan & dave ! I now hold my full bike licence ! I cant recommend this place enough if you are considering getting on the road , i was a complete novice & was nervous to start . Thank you to all the team at Kawasaki for your help

User

Did my DAS here with Steve as my instructor and it was a great experience, he had his training schedule for us but made sure there was room for us to practice anything we weren't too sure about as well each day. I passed my mod 1 first try with Steve's guidance and when it came to my mod 2 the DVSA cancelled my test less than an hour before it was due to start, I was gutted and expected to wait weeks before having another slot for a test but Jill managed to get me a test the following morning and then another instructor, Nathan, took me to the test and helped me polish up on some bad spots on the way. I passed my mod 1 and 2 both on my first attempts thanks to Steve's insight and guidance alongside Nathan's final tips and advice. Jill made the admin side of things super easy and hands off for me and always did it with a smile!

User

Did my CBT today with Nathan. Absolutely fantastic day and brilliant instructor. Having failed my CBT with another instructor I was incredibly anxious about today but Nathan was brilliant all the way through. Learned and incredible amount today. Now to get some experience riding and I’ll be back for the big test!

User

Colchester Kawasaki; Superb. I recently purchased a motorcycle from your shop and enjoyed the experience so much so that I have gone onto facebook in order to leave feedback. NOT something I have done before.

You all show the way that motorcycle sales should be made with very helpful and friendly good advice. Special thanks to Dave Chaney, James Hogben and Emma Field for your professionalism and helpful manner. Brilliant!

MD - These people must be worthy of a bonus!!

Kind regards, Si

Bought a used bike from James and was seriously impressed with the service. No photo's were online but James happily sent me pictures through Whatsapp. Not being local to the area I wanted to do a deal over the phone and he was quick and responsive in agreeing a deal and getting everything over the line.

Subsequently I was unable to collect the bike as I had hoped and he arranged delivery as quickly as possible and ensured the clothing I ordered was also brought up.

There was a small issue with the number plate on delivery but this was resolved within 24 hours and James could not have been more helpful. Very impressed.

User

The bikes are very good, after sales service terrible, no contact and no help at all

Been waiting two months for my spare key and V5

Also purchased a bike for my son, they told him they thought i was going to ride it home and promptly charged him £25 to put 2 l plates on

Never gave him any info on running it in

Had a call from Daryl the sales manager today and he seems very helpful and said he will refund the money for L plates and try to resolve the other issues as soon as possible

I will update

2nd visit, good dealership..plenty of bikes and clobber etc, friendly staff but appears to be a little badly managed at times, gave up (as did others..) waiting to get a coffee and bacon roll from the cafe after at least an hour this morning, no staff in there lol, if you're gonna continually advertise online etc about how great your cafe is at least back that up!

User

I find Sara's comment on 6 July interesting and mirrors a little my son's experience at the weekend. My main problem was them not getting back to him when they said, and seemingly ignoring the fact that he was limited in his availability over next few weeks for a follow up session. He did get out on the road (one of two) but again only one person passed out of 4 or 5 starting. He was a "narrow fail".

My son was told he had to come back for two hours additional tuition next week but the instructor told him in reality he would probably be able to sign him off in one hour as he was a narrow fail. I thought that was a bit strange.

My son (I was there by the way) was told he should come back next weekend (this weekend coming). We asked to book for friday as we were busy at the weekend but was told there was no availability. Several times through the conversation we were encouraged to book a saturday slot despite saying we were not able to.

When I explained in detail for about the 3rd time that due to work and other commitments, we couldn't do weekends or indeed any other date in the near future (my son has no other transport and we live 20 miles away) we were told they would make some enquiries with instructors about a Friday session over the weekend just gone. We were told that if they get a response, they would email us over the weekend but there was no guarantee of this, so in any event they would call my son on Tuesday when they reopened.

No emails. No calls. My son called this morning but the person he needed to speak with was on a break. He asked them to call back before 2 when he started work. He got a call after 2.00 asking if he can come in on saturday. He said no and that we had already been through this.

He is disappointed and feels ripped off. Shame as it has put him off completing his cbt ftb and he will probably have to start again at his next opportunity in about 8 weeks time but will probably do so elsewhere.

User

Would never recommend, instead of teaching how to pass the test , was all about trying to make you book another CBT and book private lessons , had to be there at 8 in the morning after I had to drive one hour and left a day of work , it started at 9 and it was more than one hour showing around the shop , which it doesn't seem reasonable to me , as I was there to learn , I am sorry that after Sam which I think he tried to do the most of time the other istructor the one that didn't bother to do anything, and we were four people and he passed only one , and suggested to take private lessons and the main reason as well was that he didn't want to bother to stay out in sun , very disrespectful.

I felt like theft . Was planning to shop , but they took a lot of my money , prefer to spent them to people who deserve .
