PLEASE SHARE! This lovely un-neutered male cat was brought into us on tuesday a stray, unfortunately he does not have a microchip so we cannot find an owner. He was found along Bennetts End Road in Hemel Hempstead and is suffering with flea bite dermatitis which has made him loose some fur, he is otherwise well. If you recognise him or know who he belongs to please get in contact with the practice.

PLEASE SHARE This un-neutered male cat was brought into us on Sunday afternoon, he has no microchip and looks to have been living rough for a long period of time. He has been hanging around Gade View Gardens, Kings Langley for a number of weeks. If you think you recognise him or know who he belongs to then please get in contact with the practice.

With this ongoing heatwave please be careful when walking your dogs and not leaving them in hot cars!! Please read the blue cross's advice below for tips :)

These swallow chicks were brought in when thier nest fell from a barn roof, normally we advise leaving such nests in this situation but it was unavoidable. Our nurse Claire is now rearing them until they are old enough to go back into the wild.

Here's a video of the little rabbit finding its feet :)

User

Our student nurse Georgia has been hand rearing a wild rabbit kitten that was found on a golf course by a member of the public, but considering rabbits are notoriously known to be very difficult to hand rear from this young (1st picture est. 1-2days old), after two weeks of 3-4hourly feeds and hard work it’s finally opened it’s eyes and is finding its feet 😊

For anyone who uses peanut butter as a treat etc worth a read :)

**WARNING SOME GRAPHIC CONTENT**This is Rihanna who as brought into us by her owner to have some wound debriding and clean up, her owner had been away and during this time another chicken had caused Rihanna some injuries to her back. As you can see from the photo's our vet john debrided (removed dead tissue) and cleaned up the wound, then placing a bandage to avoid Rihanna self traumatizing herself. She is since doing very well coming in every couple of days for her bandage change. *Owner consents to use of photos*

We have come to call all those working here our friends . We lost our beloved Oskar the other day. I cannot praise them enough for the care Oskar received or for the way we were treated.....nothing was too much trouble. We would like to thank John and his team for all the care given to Oskar and to us. An amazing bunch of people !! Thank you

User

They have been brilliant with our kittens. Highly recommend

User

The whole team have always provided a fantastic service and have done a lot for my ferrets over the years.

I originally went to Companion Care because they were the only vet in Hemel to treat ferrets at the time and I'm so glad they were my only choice.

One thing I can say is they're are as honest as you can get and if unsure will tell you and then research to find further information where needed.

Thanks to everyone at Companion Care for all your help, advice and for giving me longer with my little ones that have now passed.

The Nurse Claire and the Vet John were so lovely and helpful

I would 100% recommend them. So so pleased with the service I received. They really seem to care about the animals.

While there a stray cat was bought in that had collapsed and they also helped that cat.

Really good

Thank you so much to John and his team for looking after William over the past week. John you didn't make us feel we should push William through all sorts of treatment, instead you were just concerned for his welfare. We also have our other two cats registered here and would recommend companion care to anyone.

User

Thank you for the kindness and care that was shown to me and my beautiful cat Luna (who sadly you couldn’t save). Thank you so much for the card offering your condolences. A lovely bunch of people doing what you do for the right reasons xx

My dog turned very poorly yesterday afternoon so I made an app & we saw your vet called Miguel. Sammy spent nearly 2 hours at the surgery and was on an IV line looking very ill. It was very scary to see her like that but Miguel was very kind & caring to us and treated Sammy like she was his own. We were then sent to another vets for treatment during the night because this one was closing. I collected Sammy from the other vets this morning and took her back to Miguel for a follow up app. During the night Sammy had been given oxygen, beta blockers and medication so wasn't herself when I collected her. We drove over to Pets at home, arrived at the vets and Sammy was very happy to see Miguel! She was wagging her tail when he came out and gave him licks and cuddles! You can tell he gets enjoyment out of making pets well again, you have a really great vet there. The receptionist was also lovely, I didn't get her name though (blonde girl) Sammy is currently asleep on my lap & is resting now. Thank you for making her better, she is my best friend and I would be lost without her xx

John is the best vet we have ever had, we have six dogs and two cats and all the staff look after them like there own family. I simply wouldn't trust any other vet. I have had dogs all my life and there is knowone I would rather use than John and all the staff at pets at home for all my animals.

User

I love this vets my little cavvy was ill for a year and always saw John he was amazing at the end he showed so much compasion couldnt thank him and Isabelle the nurse so much

User

I have been using this Vet for a few years now. Had my dogs puppy vaccinations here, he was also neutered with them. When we went to collect him they told us he had had several walks as they all wanted a turn :) We have now paid £99 for "Vaccinations for life" with them so I never have to pay for his boosters again and he has free health checks.

My cat also had treatment with them last year for a severe skin problem which at first I thought might kill her. She responded to treatment well after a few trips to this vet. I was quite emotional about it all but once the treatment showed progress the vet even gave me a hug we were both so relieved. When her allergy flares up we take her straight in and they sort her out immediately.

I am really glad I decided to change to this vet when we first got our dog 3 years ago. Highly recommended.
