This is Tilly and her puppies on a check up with up:) Tilly had to have a cesarean done recently to help her with giving birth. She and the puppies are now absolutely fine :)
This is Dolly the teeny tiny Maltese who came over in her owner's pocket to have her jabs done πΆ

This is Roxy, the little Frenchie we spayed a few day ago, she is doing so well on recovery :) β€
One of very important aspects of recovering lagomorphs (rabbits) from a surgery is to try and stimulate them to start eating as soon as possible. This little bunny is doing a great job taking food from the spoon!
#featheredfriday This common buzzard was hit by a car and had bilateral paresis in his legs. On the picture the buzzard is being restrained to take some radiographs π¦

Bumblebee the ball python has paid us a visit recently for his check up:) π
This is Ringo, the canary bird with a neat haircut.
Canaries are prone to developing hyperkeratosis when kept without access to sunlight (UV) and vitamin A (green veggies). Ringo was recently rescued by one of our lovely clients and was brought to us to trim his overgrown nails which started to go spiral.
... Ringo is now a happy and healthy bird and enjoys new life in a loving home π¦

Sutti the little bunny who has visited us for to be spayed is chilling before the procedure :) π°
Pascal the Crested gekco has visited us recently for his check over. Did you know, that despite the common belief that nocturnal reptiles do no require UV light, it actually is vital for them especially during the active growth period. Just some 10-45 minutes of basking in a low output UV lamp (5.0) will guarantee that your leopard gecko or ball python will not develop any signs of Metabolic bone disease. In the wild, the vast majority of nocturnal reptiles will usually bask in morning or evening lights of sun.
Puppies!!! Hooray Recently we had to perform an emergency cesarean to help a French bulldog mum with delivering 7 (seven!!!!) adorable puppies β₯ They are just too cute!!!
Some changes will be happening soon in regards to Brexit and Pet Travel.
Here is the tip on rabies vaccination (FAQ)
"What type of rabies blood test do pet owners need to take?"
... In accordance with Annex IV of Reg 576/2013, pet owners would need to carry out a Rabies Antibody Titration Test and the results must show a level of neutralising antibody to rabies virus in serum equal or greater than 0.5 IU/ml. The test must be carried out by an EU-approved laboratory.
People with very tight travel times may prefer to just do the jab. As some countries donβt like the 3 year period for rabies, it is suggested it's definitely best for them to have had a jab in the last year anyway.
Please follow the link below https://www.vets4pets.com/pet-healthβ¦/b rexit-and-pet-travel/ which outlines possible scenarios for owners. We will keep this updated as we have any new information from APHA.
