Compton Tutors began in response to an immense need expressed by parents unhappy about standards of teaching and learning in our schools; particularly Primary. With the constant tinkering and tampering with our school system since 1948 various governments have sought to improve it using targets and statistics to convince you your child is achieving. But are they? It is a sad fact that children transferring to secondary schools, are on the whole ill-equipped to deal with greater challenges facing them due to the foundation years philosophy of 'one cap fits all. '

At Compton Tutors we treat every child as an individual bespoking learning to their way of learning. We use modern techniques of tutoring with a traditional ethos of 'effort' and 'focus. '

Operating mainly in north London, Compton Tutors run small group tuition sessions at Camden's Pancras Square Library and of course offer one to one lessons requiring more concentrated and specific learning pathways in English and Maths.
