Coptic Festival

About Coptic Festival

The aim of Coptic Festival is to strengthen the spiritual lives of the participants while developing and refining their personal talents in every aspect.

Coptic Festival Description

The Coptic Festival is a blessed service which started many years ago in Cairo, Egypt. The service gradually grew in size in terms of participants’ number and geographical distribution. In 2011, the number of participants exceeded a million from around the globe, from Egypt, Africa, Asia, Europe, North America and Australia.

The service aims to strengthen the spiritual life of the participants while developing and refining their personal talents in every aspect. It aims to build a balanced and healthy Coptic personality which is involved in a strong relationship with God and other people, has a strong sense of belonging to their church and country, and is actively contributing in building their society. All by adhering to a true Christian life and fixing our eyes to our Lord Jesus Christ.

This service uses the fact that children and youth are very energetic, often have seeds of great talents, and have lots of time. This combination, unless utilized wisely can be lost, or even invested in the wrong avenues.

The service is introduced by providing the children and youth with a framework whereby different activities (spiritual, artistic, sporty, etc. . ) are declared, group formation is facilitated based on age and talents /subjects then competitions are setup between groups within local church levels and then winners compete across different churches on national level.

Last week we left you with a question: which son did Jacob not send to Egypt for grain during the famine? The answer, which can be found in Genesis 42:4 is Benjamin! Great work if you got it right.
This week we have a video for our Coptic Festival audience. When God chisels the dead weight out of our lives it can be quite painful: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3QCkBL2DfV g
