Any adventurous souls out there?
This year I am putting on the Trek to Everest Base Camp 6-21 October with two options. 12 day all inclusive trek to Base Camp or a 14 day trek to Base Camp with a Summit of Lobouche East Peak at 6125 metres.
This will be the third trip to Nepal/Everest Base Camp, and as an adventure and experience, I can’t speak highly enough for the hospitality and awe inspiring adventure this trip offers.
... Teaming up with TrekwithSunil Arriving in Kathmandu, we start the trek with a flight to Lukla on the 6th October, there we slowly ascend each day with added acclimatisation days to help the body adapt to the altitude, staying in Nepalese tea houses along the way and experiencing the culture and spiritual side of mountain life.
This trek is achievable by all, you just need a sense of adventure and the will to succeed.
The added peak thrown in this year is a tough challenge, but an exciting addition, leaning how to use ropes for safety and walking with crampons to reach the summit. Standing on the summit at 6125 meters the views of the Kumba Glacia will be spectacular.
As part of this trip I am also creating a community project where I want to give something back. I will be planning on teaching First Aid to local earthquake hit community school children, as well as raise funds to provide these communities and schools with first aid equipment, of which they are seriously lacking.
This part of the trip will take place after the trek for a few days and I welcome anyone to join me that wants to help fund raise, gain sponsorship for taking part in the trek or be part of the project.

Update on first aid Training this year! So far we have travelled the country with over 3000 miles covered teaching in holiday parks, hotels, nurseries and businesses with all candidates successfully completing their respective courses.
I currently find myself in France networking having taught a paediatric first aid introduction today to a lovely group of parents, providing them the skills to act in a emergency.
