Crafts From Kashmir

Exquisite hand painted papier mache items, handmade jewellery, silk shawls, crystals, pendulums and Indian attire. All available from my stall in the Stroud Shambles Market, or you can host a party and I can bring a range of products for you to browse.

On a holiday in Srinagar, Kashmir in 2014 I came across a small shop selling these beautiful items and luckily got invited to meet the artisans. I got to see the papier mache items being painted and I fell in love instantly. I learnt about the historic process, and how it is truly part of their Kashmiri heritage.

From my stall in the Shambles Market in Stroud I offer hand-painted papier mache items, hand-made jewellery and silk shawls, crystals, pendulums and Indian attire.

You can also host a Kashmir party where you can browse a selection of these products at your home or event in a relaxed and sociable setting.

I’m still in awe of the intricate detail of the hand-painted papier mache and the craftsmenship of all the jewellery and Indian attire that I sell. Having seen the hand painting in person I have a deep respect for the producers and I love sharing that appreciation.
