One down, just two to sew up.
Sneak peek of Karen's order βΊοΈ
Exciting news ππ
I've been doing a lot of serious thinking and head scratching the last couple of weeks, it's a wonder I don't have any bald patches...
There will be some shifts and changes to my little business in coming months. ... I've come a long way from creating bunting and bags since I first started my venture. The last 3/4 years have been a turning point where I was naturally led into the keepsake industry thanks to you lovely guys πβΊοΈ
My business has grown, so my ideas have too. I'm working hard behind the scenes, so hopefully you won't have to wait too long to notice the changes!
Now onto a 3 animal order for Karen.... ππ

I love working with denim... Such a quirky fabric with all the features of pockets, seams and stitching.
This bear was for Joan, to go alongside her cushion, although it will be gifted to a family member.
Complimented with left over purple polo shirt, this bear is a lovely keepsake using special items π€
A cushion for Joan.
Created from a very special polo shirt. Joan was a bit worried as the collar was a bit faded with the continual wear and tear, but I assured her that it all adds to the sentimentality, and is what remembrance is all about π€
A cotbed sized blanket just finished for Lucie.

Lightly quilted, wadded and backed in brushed baby pink 100% cotton.

The cushion I've been working on today is now finished.
This was created for Lucie, using outgrown baby clothing from her daughter. This will be gifted to her Mother for her 60th birthday π
Its always nice to create these - fully lined, quilted and zipped.
There's a cushion on the agenda today π
Its nice to have the back door wide open today... Rather than yesterday where it rained non stop.
What are you lovely lot up to?
And he's finished π
A bulldog for Sarah using her sons favourite outgrown T shirts. The logos were quite large so had to be stitched onto the pieces once they were sewn together.
I had such fun with this one though, even though it was daunting at first. It brought back memories of my Nan as she had a bulldog... Apparently I spent most of my childhood crawling all over him! Soppy sod π
... Red, white and blue all the way! π¬π§π¬π§π¬π§

Today is very very slow (and I fired my machine up at 8.30am π) due to a creation using a new first time pattern. Nearly there though!
I always listen to music CD's whilst I'm sewing, and I get lost in the mood they create. Today I've been helped along with a bit of Buddy Holly (yep, brought up in a household listening to 50's and 60's) and now things are speeding along with Crowded House! πΆ πΆ
Any ideas from this sneak peek? It's an easy one really.... those teeth ππ
And it's finished π
A bear for Sophie using her sons outgrown babygrows. Sophie provided me with a bag full of special items, so it was hard work placing the pieces as there was enough fabric for one piece each, give or take!
I love the finished item though, so colourful π
After finding absolutely zero time to sew over the half term, I'm back to the machine today... I must admit, a lot of coffee has helped to find my stride!
I've got lions, frogs and bears cheering me on today.... In the form of a very 'busy' bear π»
A bear for Linda.
Created using outgrown clothing from little Henry π.
All bears just need a Β£10 deposit to secure. Inbox for details.
Inbetween tidying my sewing room (always, gets so messy after blanket making π¬), handing over my broken machine to an engineer and having a 'winding bobbin half hour' I've managed to sew Anna a cushion.
Anna hand embroidered this at school (remember these? I certainly do!) and asked me to refresh it into a small cushion as the older version had perished slightly. So with fabric she'd supplied, here it is π
You may be wondering how I could have a 'bobbin winding session' wit...h no machine... Thanks to a loan from my mum, I've got a second machine.... Finally! π
Keepsakes commence tomorrow, including a new animal pattern ππ
