A chance to come and experience first hand the multiple benefits of CST (Craniosacral Therapy) as part of the Awareness Week the CSTA (Craniosacral Therapy Association) are running from 15th -21st October. Often described as the complementary therapy that "Listens to the Body" the benefits are increasingly being experienced by a wider population. It is particularly appreciated by people dealing with very stressful times in their lives. George Clooney is reported to be a big ...fan.
There will be a number of different craniosacral therapists at the pop up some of whom have areas of expertise including Autism, work related trauma, recovery from meningitis and pain related to emotional trauma.
To pre-book your free 30 minute session please email PR@craniosacral.co.uk and walks ins are also welcome.

CST Awareness Week 15th-21st October 2018 Dear Members, As part of the forthcoming Awareness Week we are planning –along with you –a variety of CST Pop Up sessions around the country.... The idea of the Pop Ups is that you can invite local press and communities to your pop up to come and experience CST first hand. It can help build your local presence as a CST practitioner and raise the profile of CST as a therapy too. You can choose to use your current space for the pop up or find a space locally as alone off. For instance an empty retail unit on your local high street, the foyer of the local library, or the corner of a pub or a café. It’d be great to spread the word that CST can happen ayywhere, not just in the tranquillity of a clinic room. Also do consider buddying up with other local CST practitioners. It’s up to you if you do a one day or several days of pop-up, and whether you offer sessions for free ( at a reduced rate or at your standard rate),or a shorter session–all these options are possible. We want the Pop Ups to be easy and as successful as possible, so with this in mind the CSTA are offering the following support. •Word file of an invitation and letter for the local press for you to edit to your own requirements •Press Pack •Regular postings on the CSTA Facebook page of all the Pop Ups that are going on around the country. What next? Register your interest to host a pop-up with Beatrice Doubble by email PR@craniosacral.co.uk •We’ll send you a press pack and invite you to join a private facebook group CSTAwarenessWeek2018 if you are a facebook user. We hope you will take this opportunity to host a pop-up and together we can create a buzz around what CST can do for wellbeing across the country. The CSTA PR Team Beatrice Doubble, Gerri McLoughlin, Miki Ettore and Catherine Daley

Congrutulations!
The winner of the post-graduate student and researcher award was announced at CAMSTRAND 2018.
After considering the submissions by members, the Trustees awarded Dr Nicola Brough the prize of £2000 to continue the validation work for her wellbeing questionnaire developed as part of her PhD whilst at the University of Warwick: “The development and validation of the Warwick Holistic Health Questionnaire (WHHQ) a patient reported outcome measure for assessing cha...nges in health and wellbeing in users of craniosacral therapy”. The judges felt that having a tool developed for CAM was likely to have significant impact over time in enabling the design of more robust studies of effectiveness and building an evidence base on patient reported outcomes. The WHHQ is currently being implemented. For more information about using the WHHQ in your setting contact Nicola Brough http://www.rccm.org.uk/node/324
