Starting from next year, Google is getting a lot tougher on "mixed content" websites - i.e those not strictly serving over HTTPS
What does this mean? - We already know HTTPs is a minor ranking signal - this might be strengthened on this new position - User trust in websites not fully being served over HTTPS will be diminished as the 'Not Secure' signal will be clear and obvious. Meanwhile those on HTTPS will continue to have the green secure padlock 🔒... - This means for eCommerce websites or those who handle customer data - HTTPS is vital. (Though It already was)

419 million phone numbers found on an unsecured Facebook server with no encryption - that is to say plain text that any old tool could scrape 😬😬😬 that includes 18 million numbers from the UK . GDPR fine likely incoming!
