We are here for you today (Saturday) until 12 noon and with our team at Streatham Hill until 4pm. Tomorrow Streatham Hill, our main hospital, is open from 10-4pm.

Casper came back to see us today, he came in to have his teeth cleaned!🐾
Looking after your doggies teeth is just as important as looking after your own teeth 🐶
Some ways you can help keep your dogs teeth clean are;
... 1) Tooth brushing with special dog toothpaste. Human toothpaste is poisonous for doggies so keep clear of that! 🐶
2) Dry food is good as this doesn’t stick to your dogs teeth and cause plaque and tartar 🐶
3) Dental treats and chews are good to help remove plaque from teeth 🐶

Gorgeous Minnie has been spayed today. 🐾
We also implanted a microchip into Minnie while she was under anaesthetic. 🐱
Microchips are excellent if your kitty goes wandering! You will have a better chance to be reunited if they are microchipped and the details are kept up to date.🐾
... We are wishing Minnie a speedy recovery from her spay.💚

Meet VIP Casper who was in today as we are restarting his vaccination course. He was initially rescued from Romania. Today was a routine visit but earlier this year he was seen as an emergency on a Sunday at our main hospital in Streatham Hill and needed to go immediately to the Royal Veterinary College for emergency spinal surgery! You can see where he had the surgery as the fur is darker. He’s doing really well now. Dogs and also cats can get disc problems like us humans and swift treatment is necessary to prevent long term nerve problems.

Here’s Molly one of our VIPs (Very Important Pets) recovering from sedation to stitch up a sliced pad. The operation went well and she will be back to her normal self in no time 💚💚

Beautiful Mitsie came in today to have her teeth cleaned🐾
Dental disease is very common and it affects around 80% of our furry friends🐱
Luckily it can be prevented!
... Daily brushing can help remove plaque before it turns into tartar.
Human toothpastes should be avoided because most contain substances that pets shouldn’t swallow in significant quantities. Pet toothpaste is available in flavours such as chicken and seafood which is tasty for our furry friends🐾
Dental kibble diets are also available which help to keep plaque and tartar to a minimum🐱
Following these easy steps can help prevent your pets having dental surgeries in the future💚

Lovely Thistle had X-rays today to check her cruciate!
Sometimes a wrong turn or twist can rupture the cruciate which is very painful for our little fur friends!
Luckily Thistles owner bought her in when she noticed her limping and she will be on the mend soon🐾🐾

Beautiful Ruby came in today to be spayed.
Ruby had intravenous fluids during this surgery which we recommend for longer surgeries as it helps to maintain their blood pressure.
Ruby will need to rest for the next couple of weeks but will be back to her normal self in no time.🐾
... Ruby enjoyed lots of cuddles after her surgery today and we are wishing her a speedy recovery🐾

Little Willow got in a pickle today and had to come in for an emergency stitch up! She will need to rest up for the next couple of weeks but will be back to her old playful self in no time! We are wishing a speedy recovery with lots of cuddles! 🐾🐾

Handsome Grey came in today to be neutered🐱
This is a quick surgery and has many benefits to cats such as: 1. Reduces behavioural problems eg spraying urine 🐾 2. Reduces aggression and fighting behaviours 🐾... 3. Reduces roaming behaviours 🐾
Grey should be back to his usual self within 2-3 days🐱

The beautiful Honey came in for a spay and microchip which was performed by our vet David. It is important to neuter your pets as it prevents unwanted pregnancies and can prevent complications in the future. Honey was definitely one of our favourite patients of the day and our nurse Louise enjoyed lots of cuddles🐾🐾

This is the lovely Theo who has had X-rays today after his owner noticed him limping. All Theo wants is cuddles which have been happily provided!🐾 We are wishing him a speedy recovery!

We took our two girl rats to get spayed at Croydon Veterinary Surgery, staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and communicative. Aftercare was excellent with two appointments and a nice phone call the day after the operation to see how the girls were doing. Prices were also extremely reasonable and we intend to use Croydon Veterinary Surgery as our primary vets going forward.

Very pleased with service we have received so far, staff are very friendly and took interest in my dog and we weren't rushed.

This vet practice goes the extra mile - I would recommend them in a heartbeat ... I was away and my dog was poorly, my Mum took him to the vets and he needed special food which she couldn’t carry and Pam bought it to our house .... so grateful. Every visit I have been impressed with the staff, the helpfulness and service they provide ...

Such friendly staff ( met the new vet today ..he was lovely too ).. so sweet and kind to the animals. Neat and tidy stitches ... Maybe bring your pet down for a weigh in or microchip check and say hello !!

Poppet was her usual feisty self on Monday but the vet was brilliant very patient and we finally managed to get her rabies jab done:) can't recommend them enough!

My first vet for our new puppy, such helpful friendly staff when I called with a concern with great knowledge. So good with Sadie today, lovely ladies!
