What a wonderful place! The surroundings are fabulous, the staff excellent; and of course the food was great!. My husband is from Dover and we have been coming down here to visit family for 42+ years. We never knew it existed until we popped into the shop outlet next door when we came down in March. We always go to Dino's if we are only staying one night, so finding Cullins Yard has been a mega bonus ! Our friends came with us this time and were very impressed. We will certainly be seeing you again. Thank you so much for a great evening.

User

Well dont know were to start from entering an exciting restaurant to the WOW food portion and the frendly employees. So you can see you cant go wrong. Thanks Cullins for a great time.

User

We like this place so much, keep coming back.

Staff are welcoming, nothing too much trouble.

Great selection of food, always well presented and cooked nicely.

Good place to come with family,or just light bite after shopping.

Also do great roast and have group on Sundays.

Resonanable prices and good selection of wine and beers.

User

Jolly nice place !

One of my favourite haunts - top notch nosh!

User

I loved the atmosphere. I found it so relaxing just sitting by the waterfront having a quiet drink with my other half, our daughter-in-law, granddaughter & grandson listening to the live band & enjoying the music. We will definitely be going back not only for a drink but also to have a meal.

User

First time there today. . . had a great atmosphere, excellent selection of beers, friendly staff and superb location with marina boaty views . . . . . Even a bit of outside live music from a guitarist/singer. Whats not to like. . .

User

Another lovely meal at this unique restaurant setting. Have not been let down yet over a long period of time and it was packed on a Wednesday lunchtime so we were not the only ones enjoying the food.

User

We never knew this place was here. We had a lovely meal although I would have exspected fresh mussels and the burger was advitised as Home made but I’m not sure it was. Nice place to sit and have a drink and catch up with friends. We will make sure we go back next time we are in Dover and give it another try

User

The venue was cosy welcoming the food was good a bit stingy on the pork roast but 4 out of 5 is the right score staff very friendly, polite

Thank you for a pleasant evening

User

Food was excellent. Service a bit slow, but extremely busy on night, we were a big party and not enough staff probably. Staff were very friendly however. Overall, very good.

User

Sunday roast at Cullens Yard.

My wife had the beef and I had the lamb.

Both plates came out with meat, parsnips, roast potatoes and gravy on them.

Meat was cold, parsnips were luke warm, roast potatoes were luke warm and gravy was luke warm.

A dish of vegetables was also brought out to us consisting of red cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli and Swede, all of which were hotter than everything else, although not piping hot.

The food was very tasty but would have been enjoyed much more had it all been hot!

User

Was told to sit ourselves outside - which we did all the tables had dirty plates and glasses... Food was disgusting and I would certainly question the freshness of the products unless it meant freshly microwaved. When the food was served the waiter still left us sat to dirty plates rather than cleaning any up, had 1 bite of the food and left feeling sick. Would certainly not recommend.

User

Steak was inedible. Had to send it back after one bite. Bacon fatty, burger burnt and manager extremely rude and volatile.... Won't be back

User

Now I wouldn't usually give Cullens yard 1 star, but my whole family's dinner wasn't just bad but a lot of it couldn't be eaten, fish dishes tasting of oil and frozen food! A polite word with 'management' was pointless has he didn't care about his customer or reputation.

User

Lovely venue as was the menu but unfortunately due to bank hol weekend and the business running out of food the choice was very limited......not impressed as travelled from folkestone.......

User

I’ve eaten there many times before and it’s been wonderful but tonight’s encounter with the owner has left me feeling angry and upset. My friends steak was awful. Just a fatty lump that she couldn’t cut through. She sent it back and was given a refund. Then offered something else, she said sweet potato fries would just be fine but these never arrived at the table. According to the waitress, the owner decided not to give these to us even after coming out of the kitchen with them. This was because we complained.

I then had to complain about my burger, it was filled with stringy fat from bacon and no actual pork. The burger was so burnt on one side the fork wouldn’t go through it. When I asked to speak to the manager he came over and laughed at us, told us we could complain as much as we liked he wasn’t doing anything. Then got really volatile, waved his hands in the air and almost hit me in the process.

The way this man carries on, he is not safe to be around the public. He has no concept of customer service and even less regard for how he conducts himself. Upon leaving the restaurant he then used a derogatory term towards myself and my friend in full view and earshot of other customers.

Avoid!!! Avoid!!! Avoid!!!

User

Insipid disengaged staff, slippery unsafe entry and rude crude regulars add up to worst pub/dining experience in UK! Total crap.
