We are young and vibrant structural engineering practice in London working in the residential market of conversions, extensions, new build and basements.

Cupola Design is a Structural Engineering practice of Chartered Engineers based in South West London. We are enthusiastic about residential refurbishment and new build, being it extensions or additions. We believe that each structural engineering solution to a given problem requires a fair understanding of the history and development of construction techniques, the underlying site constraints and surrounding features.
We are often contacted to survey and assess the potential for development of existing structures and combine our practical experience of dealing with both historical building fabric or recent construction materials, to achieve the desired vision of space through ingenuous structural solutions that take into consideration the client’s aspiration and the architects’ imagination and the technical requirements. We can be consulted at any stage of design from inception to the production of drawings and calculations that can be used for construction and to obtain Building Regulations approval or Party Wall Agreement, our solutions consider the behaviour of the existing structure during and after the work is completed through the solutions and construction methods we specify.

We understand well the different stages of design development and tailor our service to each stage, we can work to the RIBA stages or work or to each client needs as it may be.
We are currently concentrating in the residential market providing services for whole house refurbishment and space rearrangement, this often includes new build extensions and loft conversions. Our clients are homeowners, architectural and interior designers, developers and builders.

We are based in Streatham and work throughout London, the Home Counties or further afield.
