Curry Mahal, a family run restaurant since 1976, has been expertly engineering dishes to the highest level of quality to cater for a vast range of clientele. The face of the restaurant has changed many times over the preceding years, yet the critical balance between excellent food and exemplary service has always remained constant and of paramount importance.
We pride ourselves in setting the standards for exquisite Indian and Bangladeshi food. Being an advocate of ‘avant-garde’ we have introduced many exclusive dishes to our menu while not disregarding the classic dishes such as the "Bhuna" or "Masala", which make the foundation of this restaurant. Each and every dish has its own distinctive flavour carefully created with the chefs hand selected choice of spices and the freshest of ingredients.
The menu incorporates the traditions of Sylheti Cuisine. A speciality is the Lamb Satkora Bhuna, a popular dish for the bitter lovers. "Satkora" is a slightly bitter citrus fruit, exclusively available in the Bangladeshi region of the world. Another favourite is the Chicken Butter Chilli, consisting of Chicken pieces marinated in the chefs secret yoghurt marinade, baked and then cooked in a rich Butter sauce, with fresh green chillies to add a punch to the fusion.

This was and still is one of the best Indian restaurants ever - we used to travel 140 miles round trip to it after we moved from London- now a little too far to go for a meal (Ireland) but very happy memories and am now drooling!
The food here is fantastic! The staff are very efficient, friendly and have a great sense of humour as well (which they need with me) i can highly recommend this restaurant!

Curry Mahal is local to me... been there few times & we love it. The food is so tasty. I can recommend it any time. I think it's better to go when it's bit quieter. When they are busy... they long things out & start doing wrong things. Apart from that it's lovely. Please start making Cocktail Drinks in your bar.
