About Dagenham Sunday Market

Dagenham Market has over 600 stalls and thousands of visitors each week

Dagenham Sunday Market Description

The market launched in 2002 and has been on the same site since and is now 4 times the size due to the overwhelming demand for more trading space.

The market is a fantastic Sunday morning out for families and we have visitors from London, Essex, Kent, Cambridgeshire and further!

Dagenham Market has developed a reputation as a fashion market but you will find almost everything else!

Many celebrities visit our market such as Stacey Solomon who wore a cream chiffon frock at the premiere of Cirque Du Soleil's Varekai, and admitted her frock was a bargain from the market. She said: "I got dressed in loads of nice, expensive stuff but this is from Dagenham market. "

User

One of the best markets I’ve been too, normally go to kempton but that has gone right down hill, so I googled markets & this came up so I thought I try it, absolute worth the trip, lots of variety of stalls! Only down side was the traffic to get in the car park, set out better than other markets

User

Love it loads of choice good prices well set out

User

I would just like to say that on Sunday me and my family attended the market, my nan (who has just turned 80 years old) had tripped over a ladies bag she was dragging along the floor, the stall holders could not have been more helpful and kind. One grabbed a chair from the stall next to his and another came running over with a bottle of water for her and to make sure she was okay. The lady however just stood there and stared for a minute and then walked off, still dragging her bag along.

I would just like to say a big thank you to those a that helped and for reminding me there are good and kind people left in the world

User

Great day out... just wish their is some control in place about the people walking freely around smoking weed . Stinking everyone out including young kids..

User

Good market just be warned it don’t really open till 9 if it’s really hot, was told it opens at 8 was lovely to walk around then once more when fully open, worth a look.

User

my first time here, plenty of stalls, plenty choice but too many were selling same ir similar stuff, come on Dagenham Council, lets have more variety, maybe also better toilet facilities, and maybe somewhere for the little ones to rest and play!??

User

I really like Dagenham Market!but today was very disappointed as wanted some pacific bits and went especially! Got the train from Chalkwell to Barking,in time for the Bus!Waited and waited, and lots of people there too.I know the times and its only one an hour!but eventually rang the phone no!only to be told that its not running today!Well I and lots of other people were vety annoyed as this could have been said on the website. I know its free and a priviledge, but I could have driven had I known that it wasnt running!!!Very unhappy!!

First visit today from Brighton. Not a bad market considering the weather (very cold and snowy) but my daughter wanted one of the padded coats/jackets with the big furry hood. However, she was very disappointed to find that every stall that had them, of which there were many, only went up to a size 14. She’s only one size bigger but no-one went any bigger than a size 14. Oh well, River Island has equally nice coats with big furry hoods for less money than a market stall. Guess we’ll go there

User

Apart from buying a couple of my daughters Christmas presents from there for nearly 30+ quid for 2 things ! And them breaking Boxing Day cos there cheap shit although the man said it was worth over £100 !!!! Liar..:: I enjoyed myself... anyway can I take this crap back as I'm back up Sunday? Also trying to get of the road we was parked on was absolutely manic. & Trying to walk back miles away to the car with a 3 year old a pram and the inch of deep deep wet mud awful... stalls are all selling the exact same thing on every single one! I got lost I didn't no where I was but apart from that I found it okay it was an alright day out.

Used to love this market, came along yesterday and was left a little disappointed. A lot of it is incredibly overpriced (one jacket being priced at £140 even though only £40 in the shop), and not really what I’d expect to pay on a market, it actually used to be cheap here. Went to buy a pair of shoes to be told the fur was real fur! Safe to say I swerved anything else that had any kind of fur on it! Every stall seems to sell the same thing and it gets very busy. I didn’t appreciate having fags in my babies face and at one point some lady flicked her ash over him, another girl gobbed as she was walking in front and I nearly rolled my pushed chair in it which was vile! A guy on the shoe stall very rude! Really shouldn’t comment on people’s size!! He left a lot of people offended for no reason!! Including me and I’m of slim build but tried saying I had fat legs for his boots !! Safe to say alot of people walked off and he lost lots of custom!! But guy selling belly bars couldn’t have been nicer! I didn’t think this market was allowed to sell snide either but there was plenty of it being sold. Such a shame i used to love coming here but better off just going to the shops now as most is cheaper in the shop and better quality even though they make sure to scream at you about how in Zara it costs this much or that much. Also one clothes stall we went passed reaked of what smelt like strong cat pee and as we was leaving I was standing waiting for a hot drink to have the lady in the burger van start cleaning the grill splashing HOT OIL everywhere nearly going over my baby in buggy I won’t be rushing back
