We did our first try at car boot Denham Saturday - it was packed! We got there for 6.30am thinking it would be early enough and found it rammed already. Had a great day, atmosphere was almost like a "fun fair", with lots for kids to do, lots of catering scattered around. Toilets..... always a bit dodgy - Easy way around it is to do like others and take your own disinfectant spray/hand wipes. Can recommend going along either as seller or buyer as there is lots going on here. We had a brilliant day and hope to try it again soon.

One of the best car boots I have been to . Very friendly people in charge and you can always find a good bargain!

User

Massive Carboot with a mix of all sorts of great stuff to see buy and enjoy. It's a Great atmospheres and truly a great day out to be enjoyed.

It's always best to get there early wether your a seller or buyer as allot traders and dealers like to buy at this very popular Carboot so there is competition for the best bits early on. However having said that due to the amount of sellers there is always a bargain or find of the century to be had.

As with all busy events you should Allow plenty of time to arrive and leave as there can be Long queues, this can also apply for the toilets and a bit of advise bring paper...

On hot days I'd bring sun block and wear long but light sleeved clothes as there is no real shade.

There are usually a verity of food vendors to buy refreshments from or you could bring a picnic as there is ample space on the outskirts to escape the hustle and bustle of the market for a bite to eat, and perhaps a play about or a moment to enjoy you purchases so far.

Enjoy

Great site and very very busy. So much to do and tonnes of stalls to grab your attention. Would definitely come back.

User

Great carboot sale. Over 500sellers on a summers day! Good for tools, fishing equipment, work clothes and friendly staff

User

Great carboot and best staff in the world!

User

First time here yesterday. Excellent day, really worth the visit as a seller.

User

As s buyer definitely the biggest and best around

User

As always the lovely people at denham are willing to spend for genuinely good stuff. Security is excellent, one of the best car boots around

User

As a first time seller here I will be back. I was surprised when told the event was not as busy as per usual.

User

Amazing!!

Been there recently and it was jammed and packed, although weather was bit cloudy the atmosphere was excellent.

Loads of lovely sellers and great doughnut stand making them freshly in front of me and my kids, whom by the way loved the bouncy castle.

i had the feeling of being at a fun fare than a carboot.

It was a Great day out and kids not only loved it but are pestering me as they want to go again.

Fingers crossed weather hold up this weekend we will make another day of it.

; )

We arrived early as knew we would have to queue to set up. Seemed well organised but it would be good to not let the public in so early as we felt very intimidated with buyers literally trying to drag boxes out of our vehicles and not allowing us to set anything up - we had three car loads and between us all are certain that stuff had been taken with out us knowing as they were like bees around a honeypot.

User

Very busy and loads of choice for all buyers

User

This is a good boot sale only minus is the Queing to get in

User

Just reading all the comments ive been here in the past and probably if its not showering of rain will be coming to this event the weekend. Look at the moaners moaning about 3 quid or 2 quid this ensures that people get fair chance at the bargains paying a small fee. Also doing the entry fee may discourage some of the people who want something for nothing too when i was in London pimlico they charge fees to get in that one is smaller than denham one so less of the moaning.

User

Organisers unfriendly. Vans are £15 said our people carrier was same price as van. Toilets dirty. hand washing facilities was a water but with a tap lol .

User

Not as good as use to be. More tools and electrical bits. Then boot sale bits.

User

It's huge but they charge too much to get in. Two pounds !

User

Is it open tomorrow? Anyone know many thanks

User

Hello. I would like to ask entrance 3£ per car or pepople before 9 o' clock?

User

Great market. Be careful with the bouncy castle though. They'll let your kid go in and then demand 2 pounds. After that they'll tell you it's for 10 minutes. There's no sign saying that and if you mention they should put up a sign they get abusive.

User

Super busy due to the lovely weather , packed with sellers so lots of choice for buyers . Took us over an hour & 20 minutes from the roundabout to actually get in , suppose that just can't be helped .

However , given that there were literally thousands of people there today , the 3 yes 3 portaloos were not sufficient but an absolute disgrace !

The cubicle I had to go into hadn't seen a clean in months and stank and was badly stained ,

Then there was No water in any of the water butts to wash your hands afterwards .

This is despite the fact it was 9.15 in the morning and an " attendant " had just put toilet tissue in the cubicles .

I complained to the person who said he was in charge.

How do those who are cooking the food was their hands ??

User

Please please sort car exit policy out Denham Giant Car Boot when there is rain. We have been stuck trying to get out for over an hour...it's gridlock. One lane to get out...you used to allow 2 exit routes.

User

Not very organised. Queue to get in gridlocked M40 exit roundabout. Queue to get out gridlocked itself. There were a lot of business traders and few private sellers. Food wagons were overpriced.

User

Greedy organisers .... buyers pay 1, 2 or even 3 quid to get in!

User

£13 to get in!

Website says gravel field... where?

Covered in mud... my trainers were caked with mud and it wasn't even that wet....

At the end of boot sale staff were skidding in a BMW spinning in mud in front of the sellers.

Total Sh@te should have stayed in bed and watched Emmerdale omnibus!

User

Would not be going back was not happy at all not good

User

We're recommended this car bootsale as a seller.. I was at the queensmead one the week before and although small it was much better, more organised busier.

I found the bootsale hectic, we had people climbing into our van before we even got our stall tables out, things were getting broken and stolen and we had to go mad at people to get them away from our van.

We paid £25 for a van (transit) where everywhere else is £16- £20, so a pretty hefty price.

To top it off we have both got a horrible case of food poisoning from one of the burger vans..

Will not be coming back

User

To many foreigners.rude shoving want everything for nowt.stealing.if the weren't there 8/10

User

This car boot is causing traffic chaos. There is gridlock at the denham roundabout for hrs. Something should be done.

User

I went this morning after checking web site to big singe closed to bad weather

WEB PAGE SAID NEVER CLOSED

not impressed at all

denham giant car boot is open this saturday 23rd april then open every saturday biggest, busiest & best in greater london no bookings, just turn up

User

I arrived early at the carboot today took 40 minutes to set up a table

Staff are rude, like to shout,

Expect your car to need a clean as site very is dusty

Venue was well attended

User

Go to a car boot that doesn't charge people £3 to look around.

Bloody disgraceful in my opinion.

User

Fuck Denham car boot and all the shitty drivers trying to cut in and blocking traffic by the lights. Just bloody wait til its clear!!
