It doesn't seem long since its Arrival ... we all fell Head Over Heels in love with #MammaMia2, our biggest selling film ever (Money, Money, Money it's true, but at times we even felt Under Siege from all The Visitors - and we asked ourselves, 'Should I Laugh or Cry?') modern, great sound, comfortable seats!, clean, small but lovely cinema. Will definitely be back and highly recommend. Beats Cineworld any day!!

User

Wow!! How lucky are we to have this place on our doorstep!! We took our children to see Peter Rabbit today, fab place, great seats, film was brilliant!! So much legroom and no banging arms with the person next to you!! We loved it and will be back. We didn’t stay for lunch after as the cafe was super busy but will do next time. Superb value for money, their film prices will definitely mean we can justify going to the cinema more often!!

User

What a pleasant place to spend a Sunday afternoon and many more other days to come. First time in, watched A Fantastic Woman at FANTASTIC CINEMA. So impressed with the quality of sound, picture, sits...the whole ambience is a must place to go.

User

Our first visit there and without any doubt, we are converted. Lovely venue. Helpful staff. Very comfortable cinema seats WITH adequate legroom for this here, 6 footer with bad knees!

Very nice food and selection at the cafe /restaurant, all very reasonably priced. Very close to Lewes station and the long stay station car park is just right there, for those who cannot walk far.

Highly recommended

User

Most amazing cinema! Unbelievably comfortable seats, serious leg room there are even foot stools. Add to that there’s an on-site bar! I mean Wow!!

Cineworld you’re dead to me I will never go to another cinema again.

Now where do I sign up for membership?

If Like going to see a film, want a nice relaxing meal & drink before, and a great seat and big screen at reasonable prices, and live in Sussex - go to the Depot for your next visit. So much better than a multiplex chain!

User

I had the loveliest evening yesterday. A fresh clean and quite beautiful purpose built building. My evening started with a glass of wine and lots of catching up with a friend and then we ordered food. Rump steak, beetroot mash and green veg and oh my word totally delicious. Elderflower and lemon cake was melt in the mouth.

The only thing we tried on he menu but were not impressed with was the cheese platter. It was a bit low on cheese, too much bread and served with glazed fruits which was ok but fresh fruits and a mix of cheese and cheese biscuits would have been preferred.

The cinema was comfy, clean and cosy even. We could take our wine in with us and the picture and sound quality was great.

I will definitely be back

User

I go to the Depot to get happy! If i am miserable, if the day looks grey, cold and damp, go to the Depot - and its sparkle will lift your spirits. It works for me, every time. Its atmosphere is so positive - the ambience so light and warm and lively - it is - for me - the place to go to if I need an uplift. I feel incredibly lucky to have access to such a wonderful place. And then there are the films, of course!

User

Great staff lovely food. It was nice to be able to sit and eat before going into see the film and you could relax with your drinks as you sit back in comfort and watch the film . Will definitely be going back it's so great to have a cinema in our town, at least you don't have to travel too far a field for a night out great price too didn't break the bank either

User

Great cake & coffee in a beautifully designed building. The staff are helpful and the cinema seats are really comfy with lots of leg room, so you don’t need to stand to let people pass which is cool.

User

Cinema really comfortable and plenty of leg room, great bar with plenty of seating in and out and good food. What’s not to like??

User

A beautifully designed building. The staff are helpful and the cinema seats are really comfy with lots of leg room. Restaurant looks lovely although we didnt eat here.

User

The whole complex is light and airy, the cinema comfortable and cosy. Staff are friendly

I would have given 5 stars but for the fact it's expensive!! £9 for cinema ticket and £9 for a cocktail I realise the place has overheads, but so pricey for any drink!!

User

I took my partner and two kids to watch Solo (Star Wars) the venue is totally beautiful, however when we arrived the que for the cinema was out of the door, we had booked on line but wasn’t clear if we needed to que and as there where no other staff we just politely waited in line.

We where disappointed that cinema popcorn wasn’t available we did buy two packets of the extremely over priced gourmet popcorn. The prices for the typical cinema snacks seemed to be very overpriced.

However staff where friendly and polite, which is contrary what other have experienced. The cinema itself is wonderful, spotless clean, boutique type feel and really comfortable as I’m 6ft 5 and often struggle with seats and leg room but this was fine.

I would certainly go again as I want to support my local business but would welcome consideration on prices and clarity re queuing etc.

Will also be taking some cinema style popcorn with me next time

User

Had a fab time on Sunday with Sing a long a Mama Mia, hope there are many more of these sing a long events. I would give it 5 stars but each time we have been there has always been a problem trying to get served at the bar. Really could do when either more staff or a better system so that people don't get missed!

User

Great cinema and facilities. Cinema prices very reasonable. But cinema snacks especially basics for children limited and expensive. My lo would have loved some popcorn but only large 'favoured ' expensive popcorn available not appealing to a 4yr old. Other than snack selection our experience was 5*.

User

Really nice to be able to see good films in a small cinema but had a poor experience with a rather snooty member of staff working there (might have been the Manager) and the cafe is very badly run. Customers were trying to buy a coffee and getting angry with other queue jumpers trying to do the same thing but struggling due to a lack of queuing system. Could be vastly improved with more welcoming, less snooty staff.

User

We gave a go to the Depot restaurant 2 weeks ago, we were really looking forward to having lunch there. The staff was absolutely brillant. The person at the counter made me taste the local beer and was very helpful in advising. I ordered a rice paper caponata (main) and my partner ordered a chateney vegetable mix (main). Great ideas and well presented plate but: the quantity in my caponata wouldn't have fed a bird, very small portion for a main side that costs nearly £13. Moreover it was a cold main which would have been more suitable in summer season rather than in October. The chanteney vegetable's choice was not seasonal at all: zucchini and aubergines in October and avery flat taste. I would have rather expected a choice of cabbages, greens, butternut squash or pumpinks in autumn. And the price was, again, too high for he quantity (around £12). I will go to the Depot again for the cinema and the great staff (who came to check if we were satisfied after our lunch) but we won't order mains anymore. I hope the brunch selection is more generous and worth to try.

User

Waited 20 mins for two coffees had already eaten cake when arrived. Wasn’t even busy. This is second time of going and seems to be the norm. Shame as cinema is lovely.. couldn’t guarantee a meal would be served in time if going for meal and cinema.

Waited 20 mins for two coffees had already eaten cake when arrived. Wasn’t even busy. This is second time of going and seems to be the norm. Shame as cinema is lovely.. couldn’t guarantee a meal would be served in time if going for meal and cinema.
