You can’t miss Deptford High Street. At the top end sits its famous anchor. It packs in a street market, a golden-clad library, one of London's finest baroque churches and more history than you can shake a stick at.
Deptford High Street Description
In 2005, Deptford High Street was found to be London's most diverse and vibrant high street.
We're aiming to launch a community website for the area which will showcase the best the area has to offer - from a detailed A-Z of the shops, to arts events, children's activities and local services.
Version 1 of the site has now launched, but we'd love to hear what you'd like to see in the future; whether that's links to local campaigns, discussion boards or something not mentioned above; please get in touch! Either post on the page, or email us at info@deptfordhighstreet. co. uk

This class from 3pm to 4pm is an introduction to self defence through martial arts. Learn the basics of defending yourself whilst also getting a workout and meeting new people in a safe, ego-free and inclusive space focused on making LGBT+ people feel welcome and supported.

I have lived in Deptford for 35 years. Deptford is accessible to everywhere you want to get to by train and busses. Hospitals eateries. Deptford is very diverse and vibrant.
Great for Vietnamese restaurants! We go to Viet Rest by far the best.
Deptford is the best place in the entire universe.
Deptford ROX ! A great market with bric-a-brack too. Bars, music, coffee shops and a fab little record shop too (o;

Becoming very hipster , along with the traditional , lived here 35 years and seen all the changes !
An eclectic mix of betting shops, several 'general' stores that sell almost everything your household might need, and tattoo parlours, and posh Vegetarian & Vegan restaurant. And let's not forget London Velo, cool bike shop with café. There's something for everyone here if you look hard enough, oh, and my personal favourite?! "El Cheapo", but don't be fooled.. It is cheap, but I get all of my dried fruit for smoothie making from them. Love that shop... And of course the Market 3 times a week, all on my doorstep, amazing��.
It's always been a shit hole and not improved in the last 30 years 😩😩
Great if you want betting shops, pay day loans or some random plastic dustbin or feather duster from some very random shops. Percy Ingle do a great Jamaican meat pasty when you're hungry
First time I've been there for twenty plus years still a dump, let's hope I don't have to go there again anytime soon
