Disappearing Dining Club Description

Disappearing Dining Club bring people together to enjoy great food and drink in private and unusual spaces.

In the last few years DDC have thrown dinner parties in lighthouses, launderettes, abandoned music venues, inside antiques shops, over a five floor department store, in churches, salvage yards, under railway arches, in photographic studios, on film sets, in galleries, fashion stores, recording studios, private homes, car parks, on beaches, rooftops, in street food markets, gardens, and countless warehouses of all shape and size.

DDC believe in quality, seasonal ingredients and good cooking, serving elegant but unfussy dishes for people to enjoy.

Stuart Langley launched DDC after 15 years of running bars, restaurants and members clubs in London and overseas. Stuart was joined in 2011 by Head Chef Fredrik Bolin and together opened Back in 5 Minutes in June 2012.

Disappearing Dining Club have been using their dinner parties to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust since 2013. The money raised by DDC will help fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Had a great chat tonight with Gilly Smith from Delicious Magazine's fab podcast.

DDC owes a great debt to Red Market and Yarda. We were part of the first food market that opened there in 2011 and held Dinner Dances in the gallery, in the market and on the roof from 2010 to 2015.

Loved our work Christmas party at DDC's event space on Geffrye Street. Great food, well stocked bar, varied wine selection and fun vibe. The bar and waiting staff were brilliant. Well recommended...we were a group of 30. Amy, Morgan Sindall Group plc

I went to Little Quiet two weeks ago on Friday and it was absolutely fantastic. Would highly recommend - food delicious and excellent service. An intimate little spot hidden close to the City. Wow! Can't wait to see what they do to expand this space....

User

I cannot thank you guys enough for the amazing Christmas Party you put on for us! You were so accommodating with everything from sourcing portions of Halal turkey (which my colleague had never had before and was so chuffed to be 100% part of the meal) to working seamlessly with The Murder Mystery Company, to letting me take home the left over cheese. The CEO was so thrilled he hugged me and the feedback from my colleagues has consistently been "best Christmas party ever". Thank you for making it easy for me, and just for being excellent. Already searching for excuses to work/dine with you again! xx

Back-in-5-minutes: surely, I'll be back. Great dining experience, all the 6 dishes we tasted were perfectly Cooked and delivered, The panfried Bream was exceptional, the watermelon gazpatcho a great balm in the hottest summer day, so far..

Professional but friendly Service and a great feeling overall.

We were quite excited to try these folks this eve but were left wanting I'm afraid. Our starters were great but mains (salmon with mussels and fennel and guinea fowl) were equally poor. We lacked flavour across the board and impact was low which was disappointing as the atmosphere and setting was great. Had a wee malfunction with service and coffees completely forgotten post order. As much as we would love to have had a greater experience, we all felt a bit let down....value for money was zero

Such an atrocity! It never happened before in my entire life! I bought 7 tickets for me and my family for New Years Eve thinking it will be exactly as described on the website, perfect location, a party with nice music and Djs. I spent £274 for New Year's Eve to go exactly to a place that looked like in the pictures not to a prom like it showed up to be! Tables in the middle of the location from one side to another in front of the stage leaving less space for dancing! The sound horrible! They should have mentioned on the webside that is going to be a gay party with men dressed like women and wearing high heels for god sake! I took all my friends there and my family too! I asked for a refundinstantly but because the manager was "so nice" not to have a word with us, the girl standing at the entrance gave me an email address stating that there is nothing I can do at that time but someone can help me through email! It took me a week just to receive a answer form the owner! They won't refund my money! Don't go there they treat customers like they are shit!

User

Expensive, lacked a host and food very basic. Been to lots of similar concepts which are by far better value. Great building with no doubt lots of history, the only thing that explained the theme was a piece of A4 paper, very disappointing.
