Erika graduated from Colegio Odontologico Colombiano in Bogota, Colombia in 2005 as a Dentist. She then joined UCL Eastman Dental Institute at the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Department in 2008 where she has participated in numerous research projects; in 2014 she was appointed as a Honorary Senior Clinical Teaching Fellow where she leads and lectures on courses directed to overseas dentists willing to practice in the UK.
She re-qualified as a Dentist in the UK by successfully completing her Overseas Registration Examination (ORE) in 2012 and also obtained the Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties (MJDF) at the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2014. She now divides her week combining teaching and private clinical practice.
Erika has excellent communication skills; she is fluent in Spanish and English and prides herself on delivering treatment in a caring, ethical and professional manner. Her areas of interest are: Aesthetic Dentistry, Minimal Invasive Dentistry, Restorative Dentistry and facial rejuvenation. Such is her passion for Aesthetics that she has successfully completed a postgraduate training in Advanced Aesthetic Dentistry at the prestigious UCL Eastman Dental Institute.
She is an active member of the British Dental Association (BDA), British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD) and Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCS Eng).
Outside of Dentistry Erika enjoys traveling, the arts and dancing.
