This lady wanted to close the gap between her centrals and show more teeth when she smiled. She had a missing lower right 2 which in-turn caused her lower teeth to migrate and close the gap where her tooth once was, shifting her lower midline. I fitted 8 upper veneers to close her gap, lengthened her teeth and increased the brightness. I then fitted 5 lower veneers to close her smaller gaps to prevent food trapping and matched the shade to her new uppers. There is a reason I don’t fit 6 upper veneers. This client came in with 6 old upper veneers and recession. Her smile appeared narrow and provided very little volume or facial support. Fitting 8 or more veneers creates a wider, more proportional smile that doesn’t look like you’re missing your back teeth when you smile. I replaced the 6 old veneers and placed another veneer each side to widen her smile. I lengthened her new veneers and gave her a more natural looking shape and shade.
