Thanks for for the amazing dinner amazing staff and making my birthday memorable! We all enjoyed the food xxx
Popped in as passing. As intrigued by name. So pleased we did. Staff friendly and seated us at bar to wait for a table. Lager no name just local was nice a refreshing. Quickly got seated. Not a big menu but everything sounded good and smells coming from kitchen were really good. We both chose the Duck burger after much mind changing by me, and rosemary chips. Food came quickly and hot. It was amazing. Such a relaxed space, and staff on hand when you need them. Burger so large could try sweet so that is a good excuse to go back especially for the Elvis waffle.
My buddy and I went here while we were visiting from the USA is sort of a joke because we love CHICKEN and waffles. But, man, the food was amazing! I don’t think you can go wrong with anything on the menu, but you HAVE to have the duck Burger!
Love the food, comfort food for any time of the day. Duck and waffle, breakfast burger absolutely delish
If you are afraid of heights look no further! this distinctive and unique combination of flavours is now located in a bright open modern space right in the heart of town. My personal favourites that I can strongly recommend are: bacon wrapped dates, the duck burger, grilled tender stem broccoli, duck fat fries and for dessert caramelised banana!
Great food, great view and great service and enviroment!
Friendly staff, a nice location and excellent food. Who could ask for anything more. The prices are fair as well and if you can't go for the Duck and Waffle at Bishopsgate this will not disappoint.
A fantastic place. I was a bit thirsty while waking around the city and I strolled by this place with beers and other drunks on tap--and that caught my eye. Great IPA, superb & helpful bar staff (Alfie) and a menu and owner/founder who was willing to spend time chatting and explaining the place, history, concept and plans for tjis great bar/restaurant.
cool place refreshing cocktails lovely food friendly staff but can you please replace plastic straws with the paper ones? the unfriendly for environmental plastics should be disgrace for modern place
This is glamorized cafe food with fancy marketing thrown in! Sexy decor and sticky music would put you in the mood for duck! The friendly staff was helpful. I enjoyed my cocktail and duck tremendously
Really tasty food service very good apart from lady who seated us snatched the menu from my girlfriends hand before seating us but apart from that definitely recommend
Lovely staff!!! The duck is delish - but the squid was even better! Will return soon!
Fabulous interesting food. We shared several small plates and loved it. Only gave 4 not 5 stars because ambience not as special as other places. We will definitely be back.
Went for brunch. Food was excellent... service was atrocious. The server actually rolled her eyes at us and had an incredible amount of attitude. Someone better do something about the service or this place will not last.
We were greeted by a friendly gent who seated us immediately. The ambiance is very nice with the open patio and we were excited to eat there because it was recommended by a friend. The waitress, however, changed her attitude towards us as soon as we opened our mouths and she figured out we are Americans. The menu is fairly small with few choices. I ordered two eggs any style and toast and I asked for the eggs over easy. When she acted puzzled, I changed the style to fried. She continued to act puzzled and asked me if I wanted them fried or poached. I repeated fried and she asked the same question again. I then told her that they could poach them. She then repeated to me poached and proceeded to make a face as though I was crazy. We were hardly attended to the entire meal and after 4 ignored attempts over the time of 15 minutes to flag her down to get our check, we were finally able to pay and leave. Needless to say, we did not add any additional service tip like we normally do and I’m quite sure that she believes Americans are stingy. The highlight of the meal was the duck and waffle that my husband ordered. Everything else was just par and not spectacular.
Staff not very bubbly for the style of place. Great open kitchen but chefs and porters look bored and annoyed, no flair at all. Too many contradicting flavours in the burger which meant I couldnt taste the duck. Much the same with kebabs. 28 degrees outside and they serve room temperature water. The duck chips were the saving grace of the whole meal. Beautiful building and space too.
Disappointing. Food was good but not excellent, and small portions as you may expect. The service let it down most, waited ages for someone to take the order and then got the drinks wrong when the miserable and overly casual staff finally did arrive, also failing to inform us of items off the already limited menu until wed chosen. Usually a huge D&W fan, if you want the real experience you’ll need to head for loftier tables at the regular address.
Unfriendly service by the staff, made a booking and walk in and they said don’t have our booking and we should have received email confirmation before we come, however after several checking on email we never received any confirmation at all. There goes no table for us as they don’t serve walk in. Will definitely not visit this place again!
This company follows the bad business practices of asking job applicants for three-hour unpaid shifts (trials) and after that no further communication from the HRs. Almost every day there are more than three unpaid "trails" which is an obvious use of free labor. In my opinion, this is similar to slavery so everyone who insists on fair employment laws and regulations in the UK should avoid this place and the other restaurants of this company.
