At 8 o'clock this Sunday we will be celebrating the life of June who passed away at the magnificent age of 93. June played the piano at the Kendal every Sunday evening for many years. We will all miss June but let's celebrate her memory in a way that she would have enjoyed. ❤

Join us next Sunday 22nd July for our usual singalong. We will be dedicating this singalong to the wonderful June. Come along and sing your heart out in her memory!

The saddest of news: June Turvey, our lovely pianist, passed away yesterday at the age of 93. For more years than most of us can remember she entertained us from behind the piano. She could play any song by ear and was the perfect accompanist to our Sunday night singers. She was always cheerful and we'll never forget her radiant smile.
Let's think of June and raise a glass to her on Sunday ."Thank you for the music" 🎹🎵 Will miss you.... 💔

Went with my wife for Sunday lunch and to watch the mens tennis final.Very relaxed atmosphere friendly staff and good value

The duke of candle is a great local pub with a great selection of drinks, great food and a wonderful staff. Highly recommended for a pint or a meal

I have always had a good time here, especially with friends. But the best times were had when the piano was playing and people were singing. Never had the food. Went there for the pints and singing.

Fabulous olde worlde pub 5 mins from Marble Arch. Food delicious, lovely staff and to cap it off a fabulous singalong with the remarkably brilliant Anthony Baines Piano man. Great night out!�

Cracking traditional English pub.... Cask ale super.... Roast dinner on the way.... Followed the next table's choice as it looked so good.... And the piano has just struck up.... Splendid! Did I say the ale was super.... It is! A quality gem here...

Great roast dinner, they were a little short staffed on Sunday lunch which created longer waiting times and a bit of stress for the waitress but I would definitely eat there again.

Poor attitude ripped you off with meal and added a gratuity with out asking, when challenged bad attitude got it back in the end but land lord major attitude. 0/10
